Micro Exhaust

Polished Swing arm
And a little road rash on the right side from a lowside a couple of years ago. Like they say there are only 2 types of riders then that have been down and those that will go down. I have to say it was rather exciting sliding down the road at 45 mph. Thank god for full gear, the only thing I hurt was my pride. So post pics of you street bikes if you got'em.
MrSiLeNT 01-25-2005, 05:51 AM Here are the pics would not let me post them earlier.
MrSiLeNT 01-25-2005, 05:52 AM Here's one more.
I have riden bikes since 12 years old. Even raced BMX a few years, but that thing just looks SCARY!!!!! 8O 8O 8O
MrSiLeNT 01-25-2005, 05:57 AM But right now it is only putting out 150 rwhp. I hope to bump it up to around 160 this year with a powercommander and it only weighs in at about 420 fully fueled. I have had it up to around 172 which is plenty fast enough for me.
I start getting a twitch when I get up to 100 on 2 wheels, and I aint been there in a long time!
MrSiLeNT 01-25-2005, 06:03 AM Will since I bought the Titan neither have I. As a matter of fact the bike got a little jealous. Right after I got the truck I went out to start the bike and dead battery, would not take a charge and they say you vehicle don't have feelings. :D
ModlessG 01-25-2005, 03:32 PM I have a Honda Magna sort of a sport bike engine on a Cruiser frame. I love to run it to the red line  I cant imagine what 150 hp feels like better hang on wow.
MrSiLeNT 01-26-2005, 03:06 AM Ya it was a rush, I went from a 750 Katana (Kan-o-tuna)with about 100 hp and it weight like 500 lbs. to this beast. Post up a pic of the Magna.
Oh Ya Ride Red...
costlydakota 01-30-2005, 06:24 AM I ride a 2001 Ducati 900 SS. Had it to about 145 at Road America. Looking to upgrade this spring, so it will be for sale soon. Will get a pic later.
I had a FZR600 that I built up for racing as well as a 93 900RR but both had to go bye bye.
MrSiLeNT 01-31-2005, 03:22 AM Ah yes the old Fizzers. I also had an 87 FZR 600. My first sportbike. Wow that brings back memories of Red, White, and Blue...
340ciTitan 01-31-2005, 11:34 PM Roadstar Warrior 1700 here.

I love my Titan but No Way does it give me the rush the bikes do!
Ride safe guys
USMCUglyAngel 02-02-2005, 01:16 AM wish I never got rid of my 00 Ninja 6R
the_head 02-03-2005, 02:40 PM 1990 Pacific Coast for street riding.
2000 R6 for teaching at track days/full race bike
2002 CRF150 to learn the dirt thing and train

I've had many, many bikes over the years. Fastest was a CBR1100xx running 9.7s at the dragstrip. Best all-around was either a 1997 VFR750 or the 2001 Bandit 1200 I had. I've raced just about everything else at one time or another. I retired after the 2001 season from sprint racing in the CMRA with 2 expert championships. I think the most fun racebike I ever had was a 99 SV650 that took me to my first amateur championship in 2000.
QWIKWHIP 02-03-2005, 03:40 PM I sold mine a couple years ago. Just didn't get enough riding time in. I enjoyed it, but I prefer 4 wheels. :)
It was a 2001 Yamaha YZF600R.

highgeer 02-03-2005, 04:53 PM As noted in my profile, I have a 2003 Suzuki SV1000. The V-Twin motor is incredible and has power throughout the entire RPM band, which means no searching for gears in the twisties! I also drove and considered a Buell like QcTitan's, but it was $2K more, plus maintenance was more expensive and more frequent. Regardless, I will always buy a V-Twin in any future bike or ATV, they just have balls!
Oh, I had a 1991 Yamaha FZR600 before the SV. Fun bike, but too small for my 6'1" frame.
I would post some pictures, but every time I try, IE crashes?! :x
WazzuCoug 02-04-2005, 12:36 AM I know this is most likely 100% subjective to what everyone already rides but...
I want to get a sport bike and I have no experience. I am currently signed up to take a cycle safety class in april and I was hoping to purchase my bike prior to that. I know it is most likely foolish to purchase a 600 as a first bike, but that is my current plan. Are there suggestions for what 600's are wise purchases? I would like to purchase used, and I am tempted to buy something fuel injected. I am open to suggestions and comments. It looks like a lot of folks current ride... Ohh, I am leaning towards an R6 right now.
highgeer 02-04-2005, 06:27 PM Not 100% subjective, but highly subjective. May I suggest you avoid the '90-'91 Yamaha FZR-600? They had problems with the piston heads and it's an expensive fix.
Other then that, I really like the Yamaha's, but don't have experience with much else. I gues I would just suggest you have a mechanic look it over thoroughly before you buy - it's worth the 60 bucks.
MrSiLeNT 02-12-2005, 01:54 AM I also agree. Just don't go out and drop 7-8k on a new bike to learn on. Pick up something a few years old. That way you won't be disappointed if you lay it down or even tip it over. I see you are taking the MSF course that is a must for riders with little to no experience.
Not to scare you, but they say there are only to types of riders. Those that have been down and those that will go down. I have watched some of the best riders in the world low/highside their bikes. Just take it easy that all.
got_titan 02-14-2005, 04:46 AM i have an 02 suzuki gsxr 1000. i will try and post up pics soon
MrSiLeNT 02-14-2005, 06:04 AM Which one the Black or the Blue and White?

Look up a couple post's at my bike. You should be able to get one of them in a 99-2001 for around 3 grand or so. That was my first bike too and it was perfect. I wouldn't recommend getting anything smaller than a 600 because after a couple months of riding you will outgrow a smaller bike for sure. The YZF600R is a great bike, fast, and comfortable. The R6 is also great but faster and lighter and might be a little much for a learner bike. The YZF600R will be a good bike for a couple years then you can upgrade. I bought mine new and paid $6500 and sold it 2 years later for $5500 with an exhaust and a few CF pieces. Oh, and it is fuel injected. It's a little on the heavy side but not bad at all. I'm only 5'8" and about 150 pounds and I could handle it just fine. Hope that helps.

I agree with Qwikwhip on this one 100%. A 600 is a perfect first bike! My first bike was a Ninja 500 and I was bored with it in about 3 weeks. A 600 has enough power to keep you interested for at least your first 6 months to a year of riding. Might want to consider a late 90's CBR 600F3. The only reason I suggest that bike is it has a more upright riding position compared to most sport bikes and is easy to learn on. Not to mention, Honda reliability. The pic below is the last sport bike I owned. It's a 1990 FZR1000 with Kerker pipe and header, K&N Open Filters, and Stage 3 Jet Kit. It would be considered a tank by todays standards (I think it weighed in at just over 500lbs fully wet) but it had 138hp stock and with mods probably in the 150 range. Fastest I ever went was between 155-160 on the 60 Frwy through Moreno Valley (For you So Cal people). It was a wicked bike to me. My wife and I went on our first date on it. :) She now wears the proceeds from the sale on her wedding finger. I honestly think she was more bummed to see it go than me.
