Just finished installing my Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller today. Hooked the horse trailer up and away we went. Such an easy install with the wiring harness. The Prodigy is really hard to beat.

So where exactly did you mount the controller? I can't find a position where it won't be in the way of something.

It was hard to find a suitable place. On the left of the steering column there is a nice little slot there but the controller was in the way of the emergency brake. And it tracked sideways which is a no no for the Prodigy. On the far right there is a bracket in the way. So I went just to the left of that. Seems to be working so far.

I wouldn't use any other controller. I made a bracket for mine that sticks out about 6 inches from the bottom of the dash in line with the gas pedal. This makes it easy to reach if I need to use just the trailer breaks.

I'll check that spot out. I didn't want to put it all the way to the right because it will block the OBDII connector. Maybe I can find a way to tie strap it in place temporarily before I permanently mount it, to make sure I don't hit it with my knee.
