I just bought my kit from Burtman and can't wait for it to get here...

It looks to be of great quality.

Consider the one fact: They are both Aluminum with studs and urethane bushings. CNC is what CNC is...The most expensive part about the parts is getting the bolts and busings.

I think I will start making them now! muuuhahaha

I got PRG's kit so I'm a bit biased to PRG.

I'm curious to know if any of the Burtman/Cornfed users have had issues w/ the upper a-arm hitting the coilbucket on a 4x4 titan?
Joshthefirefighter- something you will need to consider on the Burtman is that you will have to use a coil compresser to compress coil. You will have to disassmble the strut and install a spacer. This is the same design that Daystar uses. Daystars cause blown shocks. I don't know if this has been case w/ Burtman's or not. I'm not knocking product, it and PRG are both good products. I just think you need to be informed of possible concerns.

Im not going to do the mini lift, so i would only like to level the front end with the 1.5 inch spacer....for that i do not need a compressor. right?

Correct, you DO NOT NEED A COMPRESSOR for the 1.5" kit.

LinkNuc- your truck looks NICE! Looks like a true 4x.
NO issues so far, thats good to hear. How long have you had mini lift? Did you have the prototype or have you gotten one recently?
Josh- Your Titan looks nice as well. What rims do you have? How much $$$ do the run? I'm looking for some new rims and like the look of yours.

Wilde, we use an upgrded urethane BUMPSTOP to protect the seal pack in the shock form getting damaged and leaking (and to prevent harsh bottoming). Our kits use no urethane in the actual support of the vehicle. I have no idea what is invloved in the manufacture of the cornfed spacers (have yet to actually see one) but mine are made from CNC machined domestic 6061-t6 using grade 8 hardware. Also, I have never given any product away, all post from supporters of my product are actual customers.

I have the PRG kit, so I too am partial to it. I will tell you this though, top quality product and top notch customer service from Greg! Good luck with your choice.

Just to clarify a few points, the inside the pack spacers are NOT polyurethane, they are machined polyethylene. It is a hard industrial grade plastic with tensile strengths more than adequate for a lifetime of use in a truck suspension application. This is makes for a drastic difference in the strength and durability of the spacer over a spongy urethane type material.

One of the other issues that has been addressed that of bumpstops. With our design, the shock is not subjected to bottoming to more than it's normal range of travel and because of this a longer bumpstop is not required, but could be added if desired...purely at the customers desire.

Feel free to contact myself at CornfedSuspension@cox.net or 304-358-2099 12-7 EST M-F with any questions you may have. Or contact Jason at Burtman Industries with any questions on purchase prices or shipping.

Thanks,
David

I beat the crap out of baby down in Catoctin State Park in MD..no need for bump stops...ans its ULTRA HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE, a very light strong plastic polymer...not polyurethane which is good for coating wood an dis soft ...Its a great kit!
