Anyone else having any issues with site speed lately.....seems like I've been on dial up on this site for a few days now...drives me crazy!!!

Oh...and I'm not on dial up.... 8O

I have complained to m4ck about this, and he thinks I am crazy!!!! His patented response is quit using IE, well I tried the all mighty mozilla, and it was no faster!!!!

Was it just me or did the View New Posts button not work with Mozilla for you either?

nothing works right for me on mozzila. Maybe cause I am a creature of habbit, but I just don't like it!!! I can not do without my abc spellcheck either!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm using Mozilla and it's not any slower for me. Still pretty quick.

Out of curiousity guys. Post some of the page load times for me that you get. You will see them at the bottom of every page.

Page Generation: 0.21 Seconds

Thats what I just got that mean 1/5 of a second to load the page for me.
Now that just dont seem slow to me.
Every once in a while I will get a slower load time but usualy when there are like 300 or more people on the site.

I am getting times as low as .20, and as high as .55. But I am sorry, .55 is not loading in a half second!!!!

Here is my latest one:
Page Generation: 6.51 Seconds

This last one was .16...it varies though. Seems like it will be slow for an hour or so, then all is well...does this a few times per day.

When I refresh it takes 15 seconds for the green load bar to dissapear, 26 seconds to say 'done', that's when most of the smilies appear. Page generation: .17 seconds.

What is it that makes it slow on CT and not other sites M4CK?

Don't the vast majority of members use internet explorer? I understand it is a cumbersome browser, but why the difference here on CT?

It is somewhat frustrating, especially when it goes on for weeks, but I am also genuinely interested in learning why this is.

I'm getting low times listed below but it sure does not come up that fast. Actually...I can scrolldown and already see that before the page is even fully loaded.....

Right now it's not running too bad...but sometimes...I have actually given up.

Ok keep posting some times and tell me what its like right now. I am checking some things.

The thing is m4ck, the times are not telling the story. I will get low numbers, but it still takes forever for page to load.

It's actually running pretty smooth right now....But I have had issues lately???? I'll have to document them times if/when it starts it again.

Ok the page generation isnt the complete load but it helps me know whats happening. That is when the full page is loaded but images may still be getting pulled up. Some of it has to do with computer speed and browser and if a image is linked to another site like some peoples avatars or sigs.

page is loading. Nothing on this page loads from another site. There are no sigs or avatars to load. Tell me if this loads fast. By the way you should all be getting better loads now anyway because of something I did.
Just give me a few more post times now then wait a little and see if it slows and tell me the time and load times and if its actually loading as fast as you think it should be.

Sometimes it stalls a lot after I post, for the page to come back up, not sure if that's good or not. Let's see.........

19 seconds for the page to come back up again. That's a whole lot faster than what it's been lately.

it should not take 19 seconds it shouldnt take more than a second or so actually. I am thinking you have some issues between the server and your ISP. I have no way of knowing where or why. Seems like some areas are slower for some reason.

After that last post, it just froze. It was over 3 minutes and the reply button still hadn't appeared. It's usually after posting that things seem to hang up. But only on CT. Oh Well no sense beating a dead horse.

My last page generation was 2.01 seconds. For me, CT seemed to slow down after the site went down the last time due to hackers, I think. However, in all honesty, CT still loads faster than TT cause, I have to hit the refresh button to get TT loaded.
