Just got done with draining the old and putting in new Mobil 1 synthetic 75/140. Checked the drain plug and found a lot of debris clinging to it. A "lot" is probably just my own observation or over-reaction. I did take some photos of the plug with the debris and after the debris was removed to show the amount. I'll try to post them later. My 04 has 22,XXX miles and counting with no whining noises.
On a different note I did find that my ATF lines were leaking as shown on the TSB link. Found it when I did my last oil change. Look for small traces of ATF on the top (inside) of the skid plate. Got a date to have it fixed along with the trailer light recall. Everyone check yours!
