: Do it yourself procomp....
Hi I was wondering about the procomp install. I was going to go for the procomp lift, with mx-6 shocks, fox coilovers up front,M/T classic locks with M/T baja Claw 35/12.50/17 then eventually op for the aftermarket a arms and leaf springs.
My question; Does the procomp stage I kit come complete? As in, I dont have to go running after mystery parts? Also, I was curious to how tough this lift is to put on. Im not a big fan of cutting, but I will if I have too. I know the fabtech lift required some cutting on the truck. I was wondering if any of that was needed for the procomp. Along with that I was wondering about the install. How tough is this going to be for me to install? I've never done a suspension lift, but I want to do all the work by myself (and a buddy), Its something I want to get into any way, and it also seems much more rewarding when you get it done. Hopefully someone thats dealt with the procomp lifts can help me out. Thanks a lot!
also what do you think of this setup I had in mind?
Also which is a better coilover for our titans? Fox of the DR's? they both adjust up to 3 inches right?

Howie_Kaluha 02-20-2006, 12:16 AM I can't answer much about the performance additions, since I'm not that knowledgeable regarding all of it. However, I can tell you that the PC kit is the most complete kit--no cutting, drilling, welding. It's basically the easiest lift to install.
PrerunnerGreg 02-20-2006, 02:45 AM Case, the pc kit is by far the easiest kit to install. They are all complete though. The pc kit has a few qwirks, but i can fix those before it leave here. As of the difference between the DRE and fox, they both are grat, but the nod goes to the DRE in my opinion, but just slightly. As for the rear shocks, mx-6 are pretty nice, as are the bilstiens.

What kind of "qwirks"? I am planning on ordering the Stage I kit from PC around the end of the month. What do I need to be aware of?

I think the "qwirks" that he is talking about is the turning radius and the extended tie rod links. They are minor, and easy to fix. But I'll let Greg go into the details. ;)
tinner 02-21-2006, 11:08 PM Is the turning radius noticeably reduced with this kit? How much? I emailed Greg re the sway bar links since I did not find them on his site, but what are they?
The turning radius is an easy fix if you get the Kit from him he'll take care of it for you by machining the bumpstops off as they are not necessary and once thats done your turning radius is back to normal. They probably do that to keep tires from rubbing if you go with a huge tire or wrong wheel offset but the rancho and CSt kits don't have them . There's some posts some where about the sway bar links on the kits use bushing or something but once you get the kit on he can modify your old ones for you to use a metal tube or something like that so it is a bit beffier or stronger. Greg is great gave me great advice about this kit and if you go through him he'll set you up right and has some great customer service. Best bet is giving him a call as he is usually busy lifting titans!! and if I was in California I'd have him lift mine!!!!
I haven't lifted mine yet just been researching it so when the time comes I know what I want to do.
Hope that answers you questions
QWIKWHIP 02-22-2006, 08:49 AM DUSM pretty much covered it. About the sway bar end links, the PC kit comes with them, but they are not the best. Greg recommends installing them, then send the stock ones back to him. He will then cut them and lengthen them. Then reinstall them. He says the stock ones are much better, but they just need to be longer for the lift kit. But like DUSM said, Greg is awesome to deal with and will answer any questions you have. Defenitly get in touch with him before you buy anything.
Here's the instruction for the lift if you want to look at them before hand.

MDADDYS 02-22-2006, 07:43 PM Do you have to call Greg to get a response? My 2 e-mails have gone unanswered...
Being in San Diego, he's not too far from me!
