Yea I know, he's not telling the whole story. I saw where he posted the same story on Nissantitan.info.

I'm a geologist. 2 feet wide and 3 inches deep is not a creek, it's a puddle. I don't doubt his brother damaged his engine while off roading, I just doubt a 4WD truck with a 140 inch wheel base can get stuck in a 24 inch wide creek. He sounds like a "tall tale troll" to me.

Notbuying it!!!! Someone is not telling the whole story. Since "Mom" seems to be the main point of contact here, I'm guessing someone was where they shouldn't have been in "Dad's" truck and is trying to avoid major pain.

That post smells funny. Better roll up my pant legs it's getting deep. Air filter would make too good a mud filter to let much get past. Water could get through but if there was much mud it would plug up the inlet tube where it comes out to the filter. and this small "creek" is a joke I've had my Titan in two feet of snow and eight inches of mud without a problem and without needing 4WD. The limited slip works too good to beleive this crap. And I haven't taken my Titan off road these are just winter road conditions in north Idaho. 8) 8)

no way! ive blasted through 100 foot puddles and the airbox area stays dry, i even have the k&n intake with no air box and there wasnt 1 drop of mud on my filter! he's a titan hater just posting to stir some pepole up

Oh Christ - is this the teenage asshat from the other forum claiming his engine sucked in mud in a 2-foot stream? The problem with this whole thing is the Mods in another NT forum (not the one you linked) are taking this clown seriously, as they are the guy who's truck rolls backwards in park, the guy who found "chunks of his pinion" in his rear diff., etc. Then there's a clown who sprays white foam in his bedliner, posts pictures and says his "bedliner is turning white." If this paticular "gone fishing" story was deleted -- THANK YOU MODS for seeing through such obvious BS and stupidity.
