Hey guys ... Hope everyone is having a great weekend and finishing up your honey do lists so that you will get some time to mess around with your Titans. I have another person coming to the Meet (on the 18th of March) that works as a Nissan parts manager on the East Coast of Florida. He is into mods himself and he informed me that if any of the guys that are attending (or those that still have not committed) that he could offer the following service at our Meet:

"Transformer ... Feel free to post this message. My head tech will drive to O-Town after work and flash anybody for 25 bucks a pop with the consult. I had a reply that said i should reset my computor and possibly advance the timing 2 degrees. It did wonders!!!!! You must run Premium fuel but it solved my flat spot. He can also reset feuel air mixtures. If you think it would be a benefit to the attendees he will be there around 3:30. Let me know if you want him there".

I have asked that he come since it will be toward the end of the Meet, and is just another available option and addition to the Meet. I just wanted to bring you guys up to speed on whats happening. We have gotten a few more to fully commit so the Meet is experiencing some growth! I would like to once again THANK BILL for placing a plug on the Homepage ... that has helped tremendously!! I realize there are still some "fence riders" that I've been back and forth with, however, once you guys know PLEASE let ME know. It will make my life so much easier to have closure either way on the pending guys. Most of the "maybes" are due to work schedules so I can fully appreciate that. I just need some what accurate numbers as it draws closer. Looking forward to putting a face with a name. I already know what Rossi looks like .. unless he is posting someone elses photos.
Later Guys ...
P.S. The Mystery Mod is scheduled for Friday @ 1:00 T-Former

Hi Folks,

To answer your questions, my understanding is that a Nissan Manager (and his tech later in the day) will be attending the meet. You can ask assorted questions, etc. about your Titan at minumum (no charge) . Transformer, correct me if I'm wrong here :)

If you WANT, for $25, the tech who comes will reset your ECU, advance your timing and set the air/fuel ratio....why, well I'll give you my take...

Reset ECU-(you can do this one yourself)--resets computer back to the stock baseline...your Titan will slowly "relearn" from that point...usually done after a mod to let the computer adjust to the new mod. http://www.clubtitan.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3699&highlight=reset+ecu

Advance Timing-this can be done ONLY with the proper equipment...in the Titan's case, a unit called the Consult II (I believe) does this...very expensive unit. If you advance timing around 2 degrees, it solves the bog problem on the low end that some folks have, especially after certain mods (CAI, exhaust)...and your truck will probably be quicker on the low end. The stock timing at idle is ~15 degrees +/- 5, but it will only let you move it 2 degrees. Our vehicle's have a tolerance on the timing that so you cannot hurt it and this is within the factory specs.

Air/Fuel mixture-again, you need the proper equipment...proper air/fuel is critical for optimum performance and general runability gas mileage. Too rich, wastes fuel, inefficient...I believe the range is ~11.5-13:1 (air to fuel) at wide open throttle and ~15-17:1 at idle.

Your computer and other stuff (O2 sensors, MAF, and others) usually do a good job, but I gather it can be "tweaked" some.

I'm sure someone else will chime in. Hope that answers your questions. Transformer could also answer more specifics about time, cost, who exactly, etc.

Vic

Well I am for sure going now!

I want to do the Tech thing so go ahead and let him know I will do it.

BTW anyone interested will have a chance to check out the elegonics sub box in person as I told my wife last nite that I am taking this weekend to install my stereo finally in my truck. Mine will be a little different on sound as I have 2 6.5" Mid/LFE drivers instead of a true sub but it should sound good as it provides the perfect amount of air-space for the drivers.

Guys ... Thanks for all the encourgaing posts. The Meet is definitely GROWING !! To be honest ... we are getting new blood almost each and every day!! I have a little something special for all that attend, and these little goodies should be arriving within the week. It also appears I have a fighting chance (Thanks to Brian) that my current Step Rail Mod might be fully completed and on exhibit in time for the Meet. The Mystery Mod install is scheduled for this Friday @ 12:30 sharp!! Custom Windshield Visor (thanks for the idea Bill) is going on Wed night ... and the guy performing the install is kind enough to come and do it on location in my garage. My CST Skid Plate is being chrome plated as we speak @ SpaceCoast Plating in Melbourne. My Blue SP background is in route. I am going to attach a drawing that my 8 year old daughter Madison drew just so you guys can get a better idea of how my mods are progressing. Again, thanks guys for making this Meet a REALITY !! At 1st ... I was going to just hold it @ my house on my driveway, but now look at what has transpired. Enjoy the pic and notice the blue lock rings (lol).. Later T~Former

We are right now at the quotta, however I have 5 guys that are maybes and two of the 5 are at 80% sure of coming. If these 5 finally commit we will then be 5 over. I also feel there are others still conversing with wife and kids trying to make the day work out for all. If new blood joins us within the next couple days I will definitely have to beg Amy for more slots. BTW ... One of the 2 guys (the one with a long *** name if you know who I'm talking about) happens to have this exhaust that has been keeping me up at night and we even live on seperate Coasts (lol). He even has his top choice of any cut of steak and a slice of his favorite pie awaiting him once he lets me know about the meet. I'm getting so hungry that at this point I almost hope he doesnt show so I can eat his steak and his pie.. Hey long name guy .... please tell me your favorite pie is coconut cream in case you don't show (lol). BTW ... We have some BANKS guys coming now. Tim Allen from tool time might come just to hear those rumble. I will contact Amy @ Old Town and tell her to turn the 72 Studebakers away and that we have an ARMY of Titans coming. LAST CALL is approcahing soon guys. Penders will need to let me know as soon as your jobs or schedules permit you to make that final decision. "Let Old Town never forget the Night Of The Titans ! Now they have to let us in the car parade that night .... If not I'm going to be boooing at the Studebaker boys as they drive by (lol). Plz PM me upon commiting. Later T~Former

Wow!!! All I can say is that if we can get over your intended quota, that would be awesome!!! I'm trying to work on my neighbor cause he owns a Titan too!!! (He actually bought a '04, then when he saw me pull up in an '05 6 months later, he came home a month later with an '05 LOL).

Anyway, like I said, trying to convince him to come out but not sure... he has to work on weekends and not sure if he has to or not so I'll let you know.

I think I've said it before... but this will be one hell of a meet. Can't wait to see all the Titans in a row (kinda like at the dealership... not really!)

Peas out!

Anyways, the old/new Titan should be making some noise by this weekend. I will keep you all posted with some picks and sound clips.

I am a new Miami Titan Owner...maybe see you guys there at O'town. I would like to see different bed covers and definitely interested in the computer reflash. I have a 69 vette in Maitland that is having a 6 speed tranny installed inplace of the old Muncie and so I need to pick up a couple parts and bring them back down to Miami as I am planning on driving the vette back down to Miami from Orlando...classics are mean't to be driven, not sitting in some damn garage.

My decision will be last minute...so maybe I see you all...maybe have to catch the next meet. Below is my intro...
