So, I went off roading in my 4x4 (non Off-Road) and I got a puncutre. Luckily for me it was repairable. I have the stock Wranglers on my KC LE.
Do the stock BF Goodrich tires on the Off-Road have any more protection against punctures in the carcass? How about any of the alternatives for the Wranglers?
I'm finding there aren't a lot of alternatives in our tire sizes unless I change tire size.

Maybe I should have this moved to the general section where more people read it. It does concern more than 4x4 folks.

thanks.

hey qwuik! thanks for that link, i've been lookin for that forever. especially with the sale, OFF-ROAD review in the vegas desert, i'm definetly get xterrains in a few weeks. The review is so true. Vegas offroad is nothing but sharp azz rocks. Even you come across sand, silt, or even mud on a rainy day, there is always sharp rocks somewhere just waiting to get you. I have the goodyear mt/rs have been great but the soft rubber has been chunking on the tread.
but if you want less aggressive tire for a non lifted titan, i saw the new goodyear wrangler AT with kevlar armor last week. I'd go with that.

I would never buy a goodyear wrangler tire again. I hate them. Had them on my old toyota, and they were terrible. I replaced them with the BFG A/Ts and it was like nite & day.

I've heard nothing but bad things about Good Year Tires!! I love my BFGs, I've had BFGs on previous trucks too. Are self sealing tires a good buy if you can find them in the right size??
