I work at the very beginning of every vehicle that we produce, where the steel coils come in and are stamped into outer skin and inner body panels by cast iron dies built in Japan. These dies are operated in 2 6000ton presses and a 5200ton press. These dies have to be maintained constantly, torn apart once a month for cleaning and sharpening of trim steels. There are 39 Tool & Die techs spread over 3 shifts. On average it takes 4 dies to produce each body panel.

Do they give tours of the plant??? Man, now there would be a vacation! Not sure the Mrs. would like it but for me it would be near Mecca. Will they let you take pictures inside/outside the plant?????? I would love to see some of those!

The tours of the plant are beginning soon, I can get you guys more info if you would like. Not much to see close to the plant but the Choctaw Indians have a Resort with casinos and golf courses with a huge water park 53 miles east of the plant. Sorry no pictures in the plant.
