THanks for the input on the engine oil, no how about the Diff fluid.
I have an 06 4x2 with Big Tow Pkg. Do I need any certain fluid with friction additive or anything. How much do I need????
I assume the changing proceedure is similar to the 04 thread posted by Jettech?? The drain plug looks different, but thats all I can see.

It's the same-same truck, same set-up.
Just follow the thread and you'll be okay.
I would recommend synthetic fluid though. It costs a lil' more, but worth it!
John (Got_Titan) did mine last Thursday while I was changing out my oil. He used AMSoil can't remember what wieght though. Maybe he will pipe in here. I think he can get you guys a discount on the stuff also. PM him if you are interested.

And John just called me, they're still on the road, headed back home!!!

Our differentials do not have any friction clutch plates in them, so there should be no requirement for any friciction modifiers to be added to the differential. If you look at a cut away of some differentials, they actually have friction plates in them to provide the limited slip function. The Titan uses an electronic system which applies the brake on the slipping wheel to act as a Pseudo Limited Slip differential.

i changed mine with that stuff. I paid something like $15 a quart. I bought 3 and only used two of them. Two quarts took it up to the filler hole perfect.

if I remember correctly, did Nissan put out a notice it is REQUIRED to be 75-140 full synthetic? They would prefer you use the house brand, but Mobile 1, AmSoil, Royal Purple, Lucas, whatever is cool. Has to be 75-140 Full Synthetic is all.
I got my three from Autozone and paid like 15 bucks each. I used just a hair more than 2.5 of them to get it full.

I think you're right DD. I know if they do work on the 2004's, and have th change the fluid, the TSB requires them to refill/replace with 75-140 synthetic.
I'm sure it's a requirement on the newer ones, too.

Bought Mobil 1 75w 140 at Advanced Auto for 16.00 a quart x3 (Need 2.25 quartz). Anyway went down the street to a new Valvoline oil change place. They did the change for me for $50.00 with Valvoline 75w 140!!! I took back the Mobil 1. The store was BRAND NEW and there was a Valvoline tech on site. He assisted with the change, I know its done right!!!!
