: Warranty brake job
EZTYGA 06-04-2006, 05:16 PM I just took my truck in for the brake judder after 26000 miles. They replaced the rotors and brake pads on the front. They replaced the rear pads and resurfaced the rotors as well. Its was like getting a free brake job after 2 years.
Griff80 06-04-2006, 05:56 PM that must be nice.
Rancid04LE 06-19-2006, 01:31 PM Bought my 04 CC LE 4X2 w/ 45k on it, just had the exact same brake job done under warranty at north plainfield nissan in NJ,suprised they even covered it-$50 deductible
csd2014 06-19-2006, 01:36 PM did the exact same thing 2 weeks ago. Brake fix at 2 years and 26k miles. I held out as long as possible but at that point it was too bad.
supadupaj 06-19-2006, 02:37 PM I just had mine done Friday w/22K miles. They actually replaced all of my rotors..

$50 detuctible? Never heard of that, the brake judder is warranty for 3 yrs/inlimited miles.
Rancid04LE 07-02-2006, 11:00 AM I traded my 05 altima SE-R in october of 05 for a 04 LE crew 2wd with 45k,was a fleet vehicle purchased new in june of 04,so i figured 45k in 16 or so months had to be all highway-the only reason i went ahead with the deal,it was the only used one on the lot that i liked, anyway i paid 2k for the 2/24 bumper to bumper w/ $50 deductible-after looking in the warranty book,i dont think the brakes were supposed to be covered but the service writer at the dealer just wanted me to write excellent all over the warranty surveys we get after being serviced at the dealer
crownrock 07-04-2006, 11:39 AM mines goin in for the judder at 650.0 miles!...oh well may as well get it over before it got worse,,,,in an 06' to boot!.....also mentioned the "clunk" lot of us are getting, but holding off on the spring helper fix.... the service manager said hes not heard many complaints on this yet but was going to do all he can to look up tsb's and inquire the main vain as to any fixes available. i must say Nissan goes well outta their way as far as taking care of its customers. he said he'll do the brake upgrade, new rotors pads, etc...im hoping i can sway him into the rear as well...showing up with some gourmet cinnamon rolls and kolaches from our local bakery,lol....i also informed him im adding a lift kit...2.5 incher,,and will need to realign,,,he said bring it!....we all get one free alignment under warranty no questions asked....the first 12 months/12,000 miles,,,,,so if you just put in a levl kit and are under 12 thou..... take advantage of this,,,,late, Crown

Edited: Failed to read the whole thread before popping off.
Rancid04LE 07-04-2006, 12:57 PM being as that i bought the truck after factory warranty(36k) mine had 45k when i purchased it,that was the warranty contract,$2k for 2/24 b2b with a 50 deductible,i cant conplain,i got several hundred dollars in service for 50,the contract also includes free oil changes for the life of the vehicle
LDOTITAN 07-04-2006, 07:00 PM You did well then.
shailey 07-05-2006, 10:45 PM But don't let them charge you if something happens with the brakes again. It does not matter if you are the original owner or not, that was a fix that went to ALL 04's and a number of 05's. Regardless of if you bought it out of warranty or brand new. Also the new brakes come with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty and that comes from the factory, not the dealership.

That is certainly good to know...hmmm.... why didn't they tell me that?!?!?
Rancid04LE 07-06-2006, 02:55 PM i believe the 50 deductible was for the window regulator, and everything was written on 1 bill
shailey 07-06-2006, 05:22 PM Oh ok, now I understand.
REC3036: I do not know why they did not tell you, I do not want to speculate. Now the warranty that it carries just to clarify is against heat related problems. So they are warrantied against any judder, roaring, hotspots etc. happening again for 3 years/unlimited miles. This will not warranty against normal wear for unlimited miles.
Rancid04LE 07-06-2006, 09:45 PM Oh ok, now I understand.
REC3036: I do not know why they did not tell you,
i think this has been gone over in the survey thread, but the service writer want you to think theyre doing you a big favor
