Any Southeast Titans interested in going to the Atlanta Dragway for Friday night drag racing?

They have street night on most Friday nights during the summer. I think it's about $20.

I'd like to see what my Titan can do in the 1/4 mile but I don't feel like going by myself (and I've never done a drag run so I could use some tips).

OOOOHh that sounds fun. If I can let my truck rest a few minutes when I get there I would love to. Would take me about 3 hours to get there on a Friday. I would have to leave after I got off work so what times do they start and end.

The racing is from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., but I'll call the track and see if you can show up at any time.

I'll call the track and get all the details then throw out a couple of dates and see what works for everyone.

that sucks, i get off work @ 11pm. i kinda wanted to know how to get the best acceleration outta my truck. things like what gear would be best off the line and how to prep the car before...rem to take some vids and pics.

I'm not even close to your location, but I'm heading to the track this weekend depending on weather, not sure if I'm gonna run or not cause I'm to lazy to swap my wheels out. I'm gonna throw them in the back though incase there is a dodge or 2 there.

Why would you swap out your wheels?

The smaller rim tires turn quicker and you get better times. Plus he looks to be running 22" rims so they are no good for racing. I run 17" stock XE wheels when I go to the track. I do it mainly because they are only good for the track and don't want to ruin my 18" tires. LOL

I don't want to burn too much rubber off my tires. I may have limit my runs.

yeah, 22" tires are expensive and I don't get the best performance out of them. I'm bringing my stock 17's and a jack just in case I get pumped up, I've raced at this track for a few years but this will be the first time I have taken my truck there.

Man.... I won't be able to make it up there this weekend! I'll be close by next weekend but I just had sugery last week and am not able to drive at the moment.

Let me know when, I would love to go watch. I might race too. I got the flowmaster, K&N intake, and a XE KC model. It would be good to see what my truck can do, or even just watch the other Titans race.
