I bought the truck outside of Columbus and had a great experience at Taylor Nissan in Lancaster Ohio. I didn't want to drive the distance to Lancaster for service though when I started having the classic Brake problems.
Let me preface this with the fact that I TRIED to purchase my truck from Germain Nissan and it was a nightmare. They were more concerned about my credit score and wanting to run a credit report (my credit is flawless) than wanting to talk about the price of the truck... they even kept saying "we can talk about that after a credit run". They were doing the old monthly payment bit and I wanted to know bottom line how much for the truck! After 45 minutes of this and then them telling me my '99 Grand Prix GTP coupe with 56k miles was worth NEGATIVE $900 in equity on trade (I owed $3,200 on it...) I left thouroughly pissed.
I decided after all of this to give their service department a try and let me tell you they were the complete opposite of their sales staff. They were friendly from the get-go and went out of their way to get me taken care of. They called me about an hour after I dropped off the truck and ASKED if they could keep the truck for a few extra hours to fis a "Sub Harness TSB" while I had the truck in. They even comped me $20.00 on my full synthetic oil change for the extra time (and it was only a few hours) it took to complete everything. Keep in mind my '04 truck went in for the brake fix at 22,xxx miles and they never batted an eye over it.
All-in-all I give them an A+ and if anyone is having problems or needs routine maintenance, give Germain Nissan's Service Dept a shot at your business. They'll earn it. Now if only their sales staff would take some notes from their service guys... :)

I assume they have won you over for your future service needs?! I wish I could find a good service dept around here. I am in the Cleveland area and have bad experiences with two of the dealers around here. One time, I brought it in for a new master cylinder and they did not test drive the truck. I was going down a fairly large hill and hit the brakes and the pedal dropped to the floor with almost no braking power. I had to cut of into a parking lot to avoid hitting a car in front of me.

Isn't it amazing what good service can do to gain confidence in a dealership. Some sales managers/salesmen are more concerned with making a percentage than gaining a customer. If they could only get past the short term and look at the long term effect, they would atually be more profittable selling at a lesser margin. It is called volume.

At this point the service department would have to do something to drive me away. Even neutral service would keep me coming back. It is amazing how word of mouth travels. When I was a sales manager in the retail world, I would rather have lost money on a customer to make their problem right, just because I knew how many potential customers i would lose from word of mouth if the situation stayed poor... The nearsighted dollar can cost you alot...

It must be a corporate problem. I had the same experience with Germain Lincoln Mercury in Naples FL, same people some years ago. Sales department terrible, service fine.
