I ordered one of these kits and the oil wasn't in a aerosol can - WTF??!! Instead it was in something that looked like a travel shampoo bottle. I had a hell of time trying to apply the oil evenly – ruined a perfectly good BBQ brush.
Any one else experience this?

Sounds just like the kind that comes with the K&N recharger kit. The directions on there say to apply to each ridge the filter. Takes a long time and dosn't cover that well unles you treat it like a rotisserie chicken LOL! I don't know if Volant makes a spray applicator. Good luck. Sorry for no help.

That seems like a lot. I spread a healthy amount on different areas of the filter and noticed that it soaked it up pretty evenly - took a while, but I had the time. What would be nice is to have an extra filter - that way you could clean that one, remove the dirty and BOOM you're ready to roll without having to wait.
