Ok, last year, I went here to buy a Titan. Long story short, I didn't. I didn't care for their sales staff at all. We just weren't singing from the same hymnal. No problem, I move on and buy at another dealership. Had all my early servicing done at the dealership where I bought, even though it was quite a ways away.

I recently had the brake judder problem rear its ugly head. So I thought, should I travel to the original dealership, or go to close-by Sheehy? Would Sheehy know, or even care if I didn't buy there? I felt sheepish going there, even though I know it doesn't really matter.

Ok, the service guy (I won't name him) COULD NOT HAVE BEEN NICER. Totally listened to my issues, totally interested in making me happy. The next day when I picked the truck up, bingo, no judder, and all the other issues were addressed as well. They even washed the truck for me. (I know, lots of places do that, but lots don't. I appreciated it nonetheless.)

When I left, he made his pitch about the upcoming survey, but he was really, really low-key about it. Not like some other places that badger you forever.

Anyway, what this guy doesn't know is that Sheehy will get a glowing report from me. And I will be sure to give him kudos, by name, as well.

True, it's only one experience, but by golly, they wanted to make things right in a big way. I really appreciate that.

Sign me one happy customer. I will definitely be returning.

they know you did not buy from them, so they take the first experience as a chance to earn new paying customers. I have had 2 titans bought from different dealerships, and found that after I did not buy the second one from the closer dealership that i have service done at they were much nicer to me, and seemed like the light came on in there head that they are not the only one around, so if they want to have me as a paying customer, they had better earn it.

I once wrote a letter to the sales manager when I had my Ram. I complimented their service dept for knowing my truck inside and out, listening to me, being friendly, and helping any way they could. They even made me a jumper to get rid of the lockup on the torque converter.

I figured I do so much beaaaccching about incompetent/lazy service-people, I might as well do something nice for a change :)

You wouldn't believe the reception I got every time I walked in after that. It was a great experience. I wished I'd bought the truck from them but I hadn't.

Glad you found a great dealer. Some have it, most don't :( . Good for you.

Glad to here you found a dependable dealership, it is hard to find. I got really lucky to find a great dealership to buy from and get serviced at. Got to give it up to Courtesy Nissan of Tampa.

My roommate that moved in awhile ago is a service writer for nissan. No one at the dealer knows my real name and I always give these amazing opinions on the survey. They always ask him......who the hell did you !l*w to get that review? I also have free pick up and drop off and rental with him living with me. I drive his Titan or Frontier or Lightning when he takes my truck in.
