I've had my JBA single cat back installed for a week now and not too happy with the resonance I'm getting inside the cab around 1500 - 2000 RPM. So, I'm thinking of replacing it with something a little more subdued. Does anybody have any suggestions. My local muffler guy suggested MagnaFlow 3" in/out, 28" overall length, 5"x11" oval high performance muffler (stock 12579). He quoted $150 installed/welded. What do you guys think.

In addition to my new Titan (which still has the stock exhaust), I also own a Ford Expedition. I put a Magna Flow exhaust on it two years ago and have been very happy with it...nice exhaust note on acceleration but pretty quiet at cruising speed. It never 'drones' and did make a noticeable differance in power.

I am thinking of putting Magna Flow on my Titan as well.

flipper, sounds like a pretty good deal to me. But, I'm not real familiar with prices and such at shops.


I, too, have the JBA....The drone doesn't bother me as much any more.
