Since i first discovered the joy of romping in my truck I had a very very very bad urge to go romping in my truck again... SOOO I was bored and i said to my friend "hey i feel like offroading" and then i went in my truck and went north. After .3 of a mile i had the "low on gas" sign and i was like "crap!!! hopefully if if i keep going north i'll find something to romp on" After i went up over a mountain (the street going on the mountain) I went into a residential area that had lots of land but you know you can't just kick up dirt next to somebodies house in public...I feel like offroading is kind of like skinny dipping.. you can only do it in front of people you know....well not really...anyways, So I kept going straight and guess what i found a ramp leading downward into an acre of dirt next to a residential area. The sign before the ramp leading down said....NO DUMPING BLAH BLAH BLAH ASK JOHN BLAHBLAH so before i rationalized about what it meant I climbed down and started drifting, sliding, and did donuts and i kicked up lots of dirt. It was fun until my truck flipped and hit a couple ducks.....ok that part wasnt' true...It was fun until a lot dirt came in my truck then i went up the ramp and left.. with the tank having around 13 miles left on it i searched for 1 more area where it was a little bit rougher and bumpier for the full experiance, so i went up and down happy valley in Arizona (this is where the rich people live) and i found that spot which was a little hiking spot near the mountain... I wanted to climb the mountain with my titan but ughh It would be really easy to spot a huge white titan on a hiking trail on a small mountain with only little shrubs...but I went 40 on the trail and it led to a medium sized dirt area so i turned around and went to go back because i was running out of gas so I went back to the road and guess what i found a great ol black beamer looking for someone at the dirt pit i was kicking up dirt at. if i was still in there boy would i have climbed a lot of hazardous places to get out of there... Well that's it O yea and i forgot my wallet so ughh i had to pay with 79 cents to the gas station and i pleaded with him to get me a dollar and he did it. O and this was when i think i had 3 miles left before it would have died. and i got home... THen that is my story... I'm only 17 so i could do crazy stuff like this... I think...I only have a 4x2 and this is what you call true addiction

I'm 16 and have a Titan.

I have a Titan and i'm 16. But can't go offroading in Key West. I just use 4x4 to pull my boat out of ramps.

Collossal, I think the point they are trying to make is that you appear to have driven onto private property and generally made a mess of the place. I can't say for sure as your writing is very hard to follow. You might try writing in complete sentences. Not trying to jump on you about your writing, but jeez, it is downright painful to read.

In any event, you might look up the offroading phrase "tread lightly". There is a lot of validity to it, and regardless of whether or not you agree with everything you'll learn when you read up on it, the bottom line is we are bound to follow the rules that are set down by BLM, USFS, and other federal, state and local governments.

If we ignore them and do what you did (trespass, make a mess, etc.), John and Joan Q. Public will legislate us out of the back country and back onto public streets.

Whether or not you were "on a trail" is not the point.

Again, not trying to slam you. 2wd trucks can go one heck of a lot of places offroad and I hope you continue to indulge yourself exploring and having a good time. Just please do it in an responsible manner as your behavior (and mine) reflects on all of us.

Regards,

John

I have always followed the tread lightly guide lines, even before I knew of such a thing. If you guys have seen the pics of my excursions with my frontier, than you know I like to trail ride in some pretty tight spots. "ITS ABOUT BEING OFF THE BEATEN PATH, NOT BEATING THE OFF PATH".

With all due respect Howie, I have seen your pics and vids and I wouldn't call any of it extreme in the least. Maybe more extreme than doing nuts in a dirt parking lot like this kid, lol, but nothing to write home to mother about either. Well, unless you never took pictures or vids of the difficult sections.

I've off roaded with AT LEAST 5 other guys on these forums. You wanna ask them? They've all seen me. I've buried myself in a lake. I've put 3 inches of mud water in my cabin chugging through stuff that only swampers and monster trucks on 44" + tires [you can't even drive on the street] have ever attempted to do. I've been down trails that only ATVs should be able to fit through. The only thing any of you have seen on here that I haven't done is hit the desert and rolling dunes at 60 mph. And if I didn't live in Florida, I'd have already done that. So, next time refrain from ***************** until you've done some research.

I have now wasted three minutes of my life reading (or trying to read) the broken english of today's spoiled youth. It is like everyone is having an online pissing contest... You can't offroad as well as me; BUL***** I am the bestest at tearing up stuff; First off, I am 17, so I am never wrong about destroying public property.

I hope someone deletes this thread so noone else's time gets wasted.

OUCH!!!!! My head hurts now from reading this post.

As for the topic with kids and new cars....well I think its wrong of parents these days to buy there kids new cars. I don't think it teaches them respect, manners, hard work, etc...IMO

Not trying to piss in your wheaties, but like I said, I haven't seen the pictures of anything you've done that was extreme. From what I've seen in your vids and pics, it was nothing special. I'll go search these forums again and see, but all I remember is some vids of you playing in some marginal mud puddles on flat ground, and some trail pics that were very easy looking. I'm not knocking your offroading skills, you may be the the next Ivan Stewart for all I know, I'm just saying that from what I've SEEN, it's not real impressive. Not like you went to Tellico or Windrock/Coal Creek or anything, just play trails. If I'm wrong, post some pice of the extreme stuff you've done, thats all I'm asking, and again, with all due respect as I certainly not trying to be a dick. I'll search now to see if If I find anything I haven't seen before. To this point, the only really "extreme" thing I'd call impressive that I've seen ANYONE do in their Titan to date I would say was PRG Greg jumping his(when the rear shock mount broke).

As for post counts like someone else mentioned, blah blah blah. Like that means anything. I been offroad more than 99.9% of the people on this planet, and make a living from it. I just choose to do it in/on vehicles more suited to the task, and use the Titan to get them to where I need to unload.

ETA: I searched as long as I cared too, and I still couldn't find any impressive pics. If you have them, PLEASE post them as I really DO want to see them. I watched your latest vid, and seriously, I see nothing technical or requiring skill there at all. Again, not saying you havn't, I JUST WANT TO SEE IT, especially since you bashed on this kid like you did.

Might try these places out, there ARE some crazy *** trails for all types of OHV's, far and beyond anything I have seen on here. Make sure you have rocker protection. And no, I won't follow you with my Titan, But I will with the Rhino or one of my ATV's. http://www.coalcreekohv.com/ andhttp://www.tellico4x4.com/tellico_trails.php

If you can conquer all the Tellico trails with your Titan, then you have accomplished something worth bragging about. The trails there make your pics look like a parking lot at Walmart. Do a search for pics
