OC. the best meet was in huntington beach and also there was a stillen meet a few months ago. SD guys have tried to gather members but not too many showed up. we're just too far apart.

i got an idea.. since its the long weekend we should maybe meet on sunday or monday...how about a place like speedzone in west covina..i think thats the city. other wise most of us so cal titan owners will know where it is..off the 60 fwy...

This is where the Go Cart park is...not sure which offramp...personally I'd opt for the Puente Hills Mall near Krispy Kreme...more parking, easier to find...just south of the 60 on Azusa.

I can't make it tomorrow, as I bought some LE stepboards for my truck off another site (TT), and have to drive 100+ miles to get them. Monday would be ok.

If we do meet on Monday, it should be in the morning, as it's been rather hot out here.

There's nothing planned at all...just a few people have said they wanted to meet here or there.

Someone suggested the Go Cart Park off the 60, I suggested Puente Hills Mall near Krispy Kreme because of the endless parking... But I don't know what reaction we'd get from Mall security.

After Monday, I will be busy thru September, but if there is enough interest, I will plan something for October, and will start threads for a meet here at CT, other sites and post info at local dealers.

I started two old car clubs in the 1970's in SoCal. Both are very much alive today, so I'm no stranger to planning a meet.

No cold weather, no snow...the roads don't have as many potholes...you'll need to know a bit of the Spanish language to navigate.

It's Ran-cho Pen-ehs-kwi-tos, btw.

You couldn't have picked a nicer area...only a few miles from the beach, casinos, shopping...and nearby Escondido is Titan City.

"Rancho Skin-ya-peter" is a nice place to live. I was born in Poway and lived there until I was 20. When I was 21 I lived in Penasquitos for a year. It is always 10 degrees cooler in Penasquitos because of the Del Mar ocean breeze. With the Carmel Valley exit off of the 5 there and the 15 close by it makes it a very centrally located area. The beach, city, mountains, lakes, and desert are very close by. I plan on moving back there in April.

Thanks alot guys. I thought by culture shock you meant something about the people were different. The weather is one of the main things I'm looking forward to. About the people though, I did notice most people seem to be more laid back than they are over here, plus it seems they actually have a clue how to drive as well!!!

Be warned that Mira Mesa (Manila Mesa) is very close. Don't travel too far on Black Mountain road or you will catch your self in the center of the worst driving you have EVER seen. lol.
