Will residual (trace) amounts of gear oil left over in my oil hand pump contaminate my X'fer fluid? I've gotten all I could out of the pump.
BTW-I'm using Mobile 1 ATF MaticIII. :?: :?:

Just pump a little of the transfer case fluid through your pump before you stick the hose in. It will be fine.

I'm about to change my tranny fluid with Mobile 1 ATF. Has anyone had any problems with it?
I know Amsoil Syn ATF is OK for Mercon spec cars as well as type j nissans; and Mobile 1 is OK for Mercon spec cars. I'm hoping it's also good for type j spec trannies even though it doesn't say so on the bottle.:weird-big:

I wouldn't do it. I would use Nissan J or Amsoil.
But this is just my opinion.
