Is there anyone in nebraska, iowa, south dakota, kansas, missouri, colorado or wyoming who would be interested in getting together for a meet? Maybe have a bbq and then find a place to get the trucks muddy.

I work 7 days a week so If it's anywhere along the I 70 corridor from KC to Colorado I'd be interested. Might have to make a poster of the Truck and ride the Harley but I could make it to that area from where I'm at and back in a day. I'm on the Kansas Oklahoma border south of Wichita KS and north of Enid OK.

How 'bout combining it with a prarie dog shoot this summer?

coyotesniper
11-23-2006, 11:24 AM
I think it would have to be after the new year. I can't exactly afford to travel anywhere right now. :( Spent way too much on fuel during my latest hunting trip. Not to mention processing the deer as well as taking the head to the taxidermist.

Kristi
11-23-2006, 11:20 PM
I won't be travelin til Summer. Well, May when semester is over. I will have FOUR classes as opposed to ONE this semester so I will be a BUSY girl and won't be doing much travelin. Plus - anything in the WINTER in the MIDWEST will not be seeing Kristi's attendance. Kristi and cold don't mix well and I doubt we can get our Titan's INSIDE somewhere.

Kristi, aren't you in Sioux Falls? It's winter 8 months of the year, then 102 degrees the other four, you could certainly hack it.

The 'dog season is open year round on private ground, and after June 1st on public, so my vote is for July in southwest SD, bring the long guns, or come to Iowa and watch the corn grow.

JohnnyLT
11-24-2006, 01:21 AM
sounds like a plan to me folks. That's what i was thinking, should have it during the warm season.

Kristi
11-24-2006, 12:47 PM
Not 8 months of the year. We have FOUR seasons. Hot, REALLY hot, cold and REALLY cold!!

I shouldn't complain - it's the end of November and people are still in shorts. Not me, but 50 or 60 degrees in November - I'll take it!!! We only had one day of snow and it melted before Noon.

I can't hack it unless y'all want to see a shivering Kristi popcicle. I have remote start in the truck for a reason! So it's nice and toasty warm when I get in it. LOVE IT!!

I am pondering moving somewhere wamer, but I need to get over my fear of bugs FIRST. Right now cold trumps bugs. I killed one the other night all by myself. I just didn't want it to come anywhere near me. I have discovered when I kill a bug, I really kill a bug. There is no way that thing is coming back to life. YUCK!! Still scary though.

End of Spring, early Summer sounds good to me.

I can check with some of the guys that i work with on that. They go all the time. Would you want this place to have camping also or does it not matter?

How about somwhere down around Sikeston, MO. They have Lamberts there and we could go in and eat rolls that are thrown at you and have more food than you could ever dream of putting away. Besides that I have a lot of family there. There is a city park that I could get reserved there too.

I know that in St Joseph there is a huge off road facility. Hundreds of people go there with 4 wheelers and dune buggies. You should check with JohnnyLT since that's where he is from. I grew up in Festus Mo but moved out to NC a few years ago.

shailey

Festus? Then you obviously know where White Castle is right off the interstate! My dad and I would stop in there and order about 30 of those puppies after every Cardinals game in the summer (this was early and mid 80's).

I think it would be cool to go to a big park on a saturday and have a meet-n-greet, then on sunday go to the off-road park. That way, the people with 2wd can still participate for at least a day. They could ride with guys in 4wd on sunday if they wanted. So, to answer STL, it doesn't have to have camping, but it would be fun to have a huge group camp site. Hopefully the off-road park will have a hotel close enough for those people who don't enjoy camping. Make any sense?

Hmm, not quite sure, i'll have to look into it. Haven't taken the beast off-roading yet. I'm sure that they do. Any other fellow Missourians know the answer to this question??

Guess i've been left out in the dark about that one, but it's worth looking into. I'll see what i can dig up and get back with u guys.

There is a place called Finger lakes it is right outside of Columbia MO and St. Joes State Park in Park Hills MO. I was told Finger lakes would be the better of the two, but both were pretty nice. I have never done any 4wd but the two guys I asked both said those places are nice and they both ride dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. I'm fairly familiar with Columbia and they would have plenty of hotels. Both places have camping. They said it would be a few bucks to get in and you would need a flag on your truck. Finger lakes has showers and electricity at camp sites I was told. Hope this helps.

Ok looks like I was lied to, all the information on finger lakes is saying trucks are not allowed off of the paved roads. There is very little Information to be found on St. Joe's State Park. Sorry will ask again tomorrow but it looks like I wasted everyone's time. If I can find anything useful I will let everyone know tomorrow after work. Here is something quick on st. joe's state park it looks like trucks are ok.http://www.mostateparks.com/stjoe.htm

Dont think Ill go off road but I would like to get some pics/vids. Im more interested in the burgers and booze. Id be willing to drive further. I only have 1500 miles on the truck and am anxious to break in the motor.

No, no princess thing either. I have pink and black boy shorts that say princess, but that's it. ;)

Prince Andrea of Monaco is a hottie so if he wanted to make me a princess I wouldn't have any objections. Well, a few. I still want to be able to swear, burp good, eat with my fingers, and they must have chicken tenders and ranch dip in the palace. No weird food for me.
