: What kind of music do you listen to while driving your Titan
Ok I know we have some old schoolers here and some young guys. I want to know what kind of music you are playing in your Titan. I can just imagine if some of your trucks could talk they would ask you to turn the radio off. LOL.
Let me know

BiXLL 09-29-2004, 06:22 AM classic rock! I also get into the "big hair" bands of the 80s occasionally.

By "Getting into the Big Hair Bands or the 80's" do you mean you might head bang a little. Man would I love to pull up next to you Bill and see you thrashing to some White Snake LOL

BiXLL 09-29-2004, 06:51 AM Trust me, there are times in my big truck, that I am a rock star! You would be amazed at how well I play any instrument I want during those times, and what a GREAT singer I am too! :D
Caltitan 09-30-2004, 07:56 PM So did you 80s head bangers wear bandanas around your elbows and knees? That was big during my high school days (class of '85).
I currently have in my cd player the following artists:
Peter Gabriel
Dire Straights
Van Halen
Raffi (for when my kid rides with me)
The radio is usually tuned to a classic rock station (60s to 80s).
Bighitter 09-30-2004, 08:51 PM Well I guess I can be the eclectic one of the group. I have had everything from Slipknot and Manson in my truck to various House/Trance/Techno artists to some Rap and even some good Classic Rock.
I listen mostly to EMO type alternative bands lately like Travis and Gavin Degraw. Waiting on my Snow Patrol SACD now to be shipped.
I work for a Custom AV shop and as such have picked up some different artist I like.
DeesT 10-02-2004, 02:28 PM I like the 80's hair myself,Ratt,Whitesnake,Doken, and to many more to list cd's in my collection. I also like the classic metal, Dio,Iron Maiden, etc. Some of the new stuff is ok to me, but not very much of it. Yep, you would likely see me thrashing to the old stuff at the traffic light too! Oh, class of 84 here :)
Titan_Fan 10-02-2004, 03:04 PM GUNS-N-ROSES, Metallica, Poison, M CREW, and so on...

Well lets see I hate rap, country, and opera. I like rock, heavy metal 80's stuff anything by Skynard and I even like a little bit of techno LOL. Last but not least I really like contemporary gospel.

OK Josh, we can handle that, your accepted!!!!
Caltitan 10-04-2004, 01:32 AM Well lets see I hate rap, country, and opera... 8O You hate opera? Are you telling me you don't drive around in your Titan listening to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries from the opera Die Walküre?
(That's the opera song they played during the helicopter attack scene in Apocalypse Now)
just_chris 10-16-2004, 05:41 AM Hate country? That is just wrong in my book. How can you hate music that talks about life, drinking, love, and putting a boot in someones a$$ because its the American way?
I will admit I listen to mostly country, but I also listen to some classic rock ans most of the 80's and 90's metal. And once in a long while I will let friends play rap in the car. Haven't had any played in the Titan yet though if that saves me any respect from the crowd.
In the changer now:
Alan Jackson
Tim Mcgraw
Poison
Big and Rich
Gretchen Wilson
Ron White ( the Comedian)
LOL Chris don't think anyone is going to lose respect for you because of the music you listen to. Just trying to get a feel for the kinda people that are here. You can tell a lot by the music someone listens to. Or at least I think I can. ONe thing I don't understand though how can you listen to country and rap. I just wouldn't think that was a possible combination. HEHE

OldSalt 11-02-2004, 11:00 PM Once again I'm posting in a thread that's a couple of weeks since the last post. Anyway, since some of you admitted (lied?) about when you graduated, I graduated in 1975 (yeah, I know). I grew up with the classic bands (Stones, Beatles, etc) but very quickly got into Sabbath, Judas Priest and the like. Have been a headbanger since age 12 and will be 'till the day I die. These days I listen to the good metal stuff: post power-rap Korn, Mudvayne, Godsmack, Stained, the newer Manson stuff, and the epitome of the thinking man's metal-Tool. Some of my old favorites are releasing new albums, such as Megadeth. I still love Priest; KK and Glenn were the best guitar duo ever. I also got into a lot of bands that never made the radio in the US; stuff like Budgie, Moxy and a host of other great groups. I don't do country or rap...period. But that's just me. I also like some of the alternative stuff; I love Delores Riordan's voice with the Cranberries. Ride with me though, and ya better bring some earplugs! Unless, of course, I'm listening to the sweetest music of all: the sound of the Endurance blaring thru a Flowmaster 40!!!
1975 huh I remember that year. Oh wait no I don't. Well I wasn't even alive until April of 75. Guess I'm the younen around here right now. OldSalt can I call you pops. HEHE

Bighitter 11-03-2004, 12:39 PM Bah you got me beat by 5 years there old man so don't think your so young. I was born in april of 80!
I guess I am the old guy around here (born in 1938). But the music I like isn't that old. Don't listen to rap or country. I mostly like the oldies and classic rock, such as Pink Floyd, Eagles, Dire Straits, Roy Orbison. I also like blues such as Keb Mo,Eric Clapton. I also enjoy some classical.
I don't listen too much in my vehicles, but am serious about my home listening. Attached are a couple of pictures of my listening room at home.
Caltitan 11-03-2004, 06:57 PM I guess I am the old guy around here (born in 1938). But the music I like isn't that old... I've got Pink Floyd playing here in the office right now. Born in '67 and I have CDs of all those you listed. This coming weekend my wife and I are going to organize 400+ CDs that we've collected over the years. I'm going to burn a bunch of favorites-type CDs from them and maybe sell a bunch of the original CDs on ebay. Just don't have the space for them anymore.
ETTitan 11-03-2004, 08:32 PM I can relate to being a 75' grad. In the changer now are Creedence, Dave Mason, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Blackfoot, and Marvin Gay. Reading these threads brought back a few cruisin' memories.
firecracker 11-03-2004, 09:16 PM GUNS-N-ROSES, Metallica, Poison, M CREW, and so on...
