Im planning to get this kit now instead of the pro comp stage 1 kit. I was just wondering how is the ride? Does it ride too stiff or stock stiff? And as far as install can you do it yourself if you have the right tools?

The kit only works for 2wd, the 7" is for 4wd.
Also, drilling and cutting is required on this kit, just make sure you know that.
Put on the ProComps 6" and get the ProComp's leveling kit(extra 2.5" inches spacers), and you should achieve alsmot 8".
From the researching I've been doing bigger lifts put a lot of strain on the parts and required you to replace the stock struts, so additionaly you'll have to buy newer and better struts.

Yea I have a 4x2, but just love the lift look instead of the drop or raked look, thanks for the info about replacing the stock struts.

you don't NEED to replace the front struts, as the CSt kit provides a spacer to utilize the stock coilovers. But keep in mind that even though the spacer sits on top of the coil, you'll still bottom out pretty hard. In my experience, upgrading to front coilovers is NOT necessary, but it is a wise investment. The ride itself is not harsh or stiff, but if you plan on adding a full-on deaver race pack, you will notice the ride becomes stiff. If you go with blocks and/or a deaver mini pack, it is similar, if not the same, as stock (according to my buddy who has a block w/ mini pack).
EDIT: on the rear suspension, you WILL need to upgrade the shocks. If you do plan on upgrading the rears, go with the Radflo 2.0 rear shocks, or PRG Bilsteins. Hit up Greg and he'll steer you in the right direction
