hey guys just a quick question. I have since changed a lot on my truck since the last time i took it in. I'm planning on doing the 15k package soon and as the service manual states they'll check your air filters, suspension,etc... Well i have changed these parts and do not want their service doods to even touch them(not being an *** but i'm afraid they might not put them back properly.) so will they even 'work' on any modified parts or what? Thanks guys.

I'm not really sure, althought, the best way would be to ask themn politely if you can watch them work, or simply ask them not to touch.

Most of the 15K service can easily be done by you. The most important services are every 30K. That's when you shell out and go to your favorite stealership.

...or your friendly, dependable mechanic who's done all your major work for 10 years. That's where I'm taking mine for the 30k service. I didn't do the 15k service. I've done my own oil changes and when the truck was in for a new washer fluid tank, they noted my air filter could use changing, so they knocked that out.

I don't trust mechanics, or anyone for that matter. I have problems. Heck, I have trouble turning my back on a priest.
I just know that I can sue the crap out of a dealer if they fail to do something properly and have no hard feelings. I'd have trouble sueing a small mechanic. Maybe I'd just settle for whipping his *** instead.

I just realized how wrong that came out. :D
