I am looking for a DVD overhead system for my SE Quad cab. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like to keep it factory looking.

Hey Macook I have been looking at these as well. Mostly at local shops though. I will have to get the name brand of the one I was looking at but I found an overhead 7inch lcd with dvd player for 399.00 Not too bad if you ask me. I will try to find out what brand was. It looked good thats all I remember. THere was someone that posted a great site that sells stuff like that pretty cheap I will find it for you also.

m4ck, you need to check this http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2132.html before you buy anything from mp3playerstore.com, their customer rating is one of the worst I've ever seen. I was just about to order a dvd setup from them until I came across a mobile audio forum where all the guys were talking really bad about them...

Why not go with the factory system that Devin at Truck Outfitters has going on now...
I did.

I just bought a new audiovox from Tweeter. It's a 7" flip down with 2 wireless headphones, wireless FM modulator and DVD player, cost me 302.00 with tax. Brand new in the box.
Best deal I've found.

Myron and Davis now has a 9 inch setup just like the one we can get from Truck Outfitters.

But will the 9" fit in the factory DVD space? I would love to have a larger screen, but I also want it to look like a factory system.

Remember, if you go very much larger with the drop down screen, you will sacrifice your rear view vision, because it hangs right in your way. I have toyed with going to a larger screen, but I am not willing to give up the rear view due to safety considerations. The OEM version is short and long, and has a very high resolution screen, but it is just at the exact height that you can see beyond it while looking out the rear window from the rear view mirror....

raskm-nice deal...I like the big screen.

My Myron Davis set just got delivered. I am very impressed with the quality of the myron davis stuff. From the head phones to the screen. All very nice.

Actually it does not hang down as far as the stock...the Delphi is low profile...I had to take out the OEM over head where the stock monitor would go..So I still have rear view vision..I think the wireless head sets are a plus becuase I did not tie the audio into the OEM radio...I never have to listen to cartoons while driving, but I would like to listen sponge bob every now and then..:D

Finally got pictures! This is a Delphi 10.2"..Picture is very nice. Thought this was going to be a piece of cake becuase all the power to rear audio controls, wires for monitor and dome lights were already there. I needed ACC, BAT, and a GND for DVD player and monitor, all needing 12V, but the ACC to rear was only like 6v and I think becuase it all runs through the BCM? So I had to search for 12v ACC which I found under the drivers left kick pnl. Maybe someone can tell me why I only had the 6v a the rear controls? Rear view is partially blocked, but not as bad as I thought. The mount I made is padded and covered with vinyl....Good match I think. I bought this on ebay for $450 brand new in the box with $25 shipping. Came with two Wireless headsets, remote and mounting harware.

Hope I can link to the other place?

Droool man that looks cool. It looks like it matches the interior color very well. what do you think. I have an XE with no overhead compartments at all I wonder if that would look good in the front because I have a KC.

You did a very professional looking job. The mounting pad fits very well with the scheme of things inside the truck. I envy the 10.2"....
