I love having the 40 under the truck but the 2k rpm resonance in the cab was bad at first. I got used to it over time and began to like it but at times it was a bit annoying.
A few people in the past have mentioned a high pitched whistling sound at 1700-2k rpm. At first we thought it was the mirrors but nope, it turned out to be the intake. I'm not sure what about the stock intake was causing this sound but it was terrible! Maybe ut was our "stock mod" of cutting the tube inside the box?
I gotta tell ya guys, now that I have the FM 40 and CAI on this truck, BOTH problems are gone! I have WAY more low end power back and that Volant sounds incredible! No more resonance from the 40 and she breaths and flows sooooo much better. I cant wait to get a couple of tanks of gas under my belt to see what the mpg's turn out to be.
