unless you know somoen thats pretty good price considering the high shop labor rates in az.

most shops will charge you an hour labor which is 95-115 depending on the shop. so its a pretty good price.

good luck, it was hard enough to find a dealer who was willing to do it at all.

my Good friend is a mechanic @ a local dealership here in phx...i'll ask him how much he will charge to do it ... my guess is 50 bucks or something like that .. i'll let ya know bty its @ Pinnacle Nissan .... i hired the guy so.. im not bs ya !

well here's the thing getting the timing advance is no problem .... its the ecu in our trucks that suck .. according to a few guys that work @ pinnacle, the computer will automatily fix its self to the correct timing after about 30 mins after its done... soo i dont know if thats accurate but we should find out ... because then its not worth the gas to drive there.. ya know ... so the question is will the timing advance stay .. or will it go back to its factory setting ? on the other hand $40-50 he'll get it done for ya!

Hmmmm...maybe we should check in some of the other TA threads here because I don't recall seeing this mentioned but I haven't read all of them, lol.

A lot of people have done it so there must be a way to make it stick! :p

im starting to think my friend is worng and it wont go back factory settings ... so i'll talk to him tomorrow and see how we can arrange this so you can get it done !!! im sure he'll be happy to do it for 50 bucks .. :)

From what I've read, the only way to have the timing not stick is to disconnect the battery for a lengthy period of time.

BTW, ask your buddy what he'll chanrge if he can get several of us lined up in one day.

I'll ask him ... we were talking over the weekend about it .. he said it would have to be a behind the scene deal .. for instance you need to get some warrenty work done you ask for him "cuz he's your buddy" do work on your truck then he can get the consult hooked up and do the advance. reason being we have to sneek around the service advisors . I'm going to talk to him this moring and get some more details about getting this done for us ... but as far as having 10 titans show up on the same day asking for him that might be a bad idea atleast for his job . anyway i was talking to a gentleman earlier , he wanted me to make sure my friend is certified on consult ! if hes not .. im gonna kick his @$$ for teasing me ....i'll keep ya posted

Oh man Pinnacle Nissan!!! I bought my truck there, it was the worst friggin service I ever had, 2 employees got into a fist fight right in front of me arguing who was going to do my temp plates!

Had the same problem with Pinnacle. I went in asking for a SPECIFIC model. He took me back and showed me 5 of the wrong model before there was accidentally the model I wanted. He argued with me about certain parts that came with it and why they came with it. He told me anything with rake on the truck, was because it was less than an SE. I told him he was wrong and he said, "no, I am the salesman, I have been around these trucks for a year, its because of the model." And he constantly screwed up the fact that a KC is a Crew Cab and said the CC was a "king". He also tried telling me that the titans had 400 some odd horsepower.

I then walked out after chewing out the sales manager. I still get a postcard every month for discounted service and parts and I didn't even buy there.

i declair a EFFF Pinnacle ... but their service dept. is okay... anywho .. i talked to my mechanic friend and he said it shouldnt be a problem getting the timing advance done if you want .. 50 bucks will do it .. But he isnt certified on the consult deal.. i asked him about .. and he said its no big deal anyone can use it.. so... i dont care.. just wanted to let ya know .... the way we figure we can get it done is if you ask for him to work on your truck to do an oil change or warenty work.. and he can get its hooked up and get your 2 degree advance done in 2 min. So. pm me and i will give you details on who he is and all that stuff.

Out the door @ 21000, now thought would have spent the extra cash for the better customer service yeah tim is a good guy .. when he wants to be ... i think its just pinnacle in ALL ... i noticed in that bussiness it changes people ... yeah i bought from Fleet at Brown & Brown nissan .. i would have to say it was the best experience i ever had buying a vehicle .21,000 + fees for a 05 LE king ...I was in and out of there in 3 hours and i test drove a G35 for the fun of it so the real time to sign paper work and leave was like 1.5 hours ... thats nothing
