Looking at getting one of these systems for the wife's pathfinder(and eventually the Titan) and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with either of them. I know that the N2 is basically just an update of the N1 that adds XM Navtraffic(not availible in my area) and keeps you from watching DVDs on the main screen while the vehicle is moving. My wife doesn't exactly like that feature, but I think it's great, people shouldn't be able to watch movies while driving anyway.
Just looking for some input on these, if anyone has one I'd like some honest opinions... thanks

I haven't owned either one, but I saw the AVIC-N1 at CES and it looked pretty cool. Have you seen the AVIC-D1 yet? I saw it on Pioneer's website, and that is the direction I would head. It would be alot cleaner look in the dash. Eclipse also has the same style that I am looking at.

My radio shop tells me there is no way to defeat the n2 motion dector. It has 3 fail safes. the e brake, the speed sensor, the gps sensor. So if you want to move and watch movies, or anything eles get the n1

I got the N1, I have had it for about a year now, and reading up on the N2, unless you live in, or drive in one of the traffic areas they broadcast to, it is a waste, so you should just get the N1.

has anyone here installed the avic-n1 themselves?and if so where did you connect the speed sensor wire from the unit to the truck?

I had the avic-n1. Don't get the n2. I am an installer and both units are the same exact thing except the "avic-n2" badging on the equipment. If you have a avic-n1 and want an avic-n2 all you do is get the upgraded software. thats it. thats the difference. It will make your n1 a n2. the deal with the n2 is that the software now knows when you car is moving from the speed sense and gyrometer that it doesn't let you watch movies when your moving. even if you ground the parking brake wire. I've tried it doesn't work on the new software.

Does any one have any integration stories of how well it will integrate into a Titan CrewCab LE, every site online website I look at so far says it won't fit in the fit check section for the chasis but that sounds like bunk, from what I am reading anyone's help would be most appreciated. Thanks!
Plus if any one can tell me if the module to integrate it in to the steering column is any good?
Thanks again!

My installer didn't have any problems getting it to fit, plenty of clearence in the dash. I don't have the steering wheel controls, so I can't help you on that. Check my pics in the gallery section with it installed.
