: Wax? Slurppie 10-09-2006, 11:22 AM I use a synthetic wax (such as Menzerna Acrylic Jacket) as a base then add a coat or two of Meguires High Tech Yellow #26 (Carnuba). Carnauba wax is about as hard as a rock. Products that claim to be carnauba wax contain a % of carnauba wax. All of the products that I have seen that contain much carnauba wax are in paste form. Make sure that your mother doesn't find out. Never dull pad on the stainless. and Turtle Wax ICE on everything else. The cool thing about the ICE is that you can go from body to plastic to black rubber parts without getting the white chalk. Just don't try to use it on glass. Goes on easy, buffs up gr8 and looks fantastic for weeks of Texas gulf coast weather. It looks like water going on but then WOW. I agree about the protection, it's the only reason I wax. I bought Black Magic because of Consumer Reports also. It is definitely harder to wipe off. I hope that means it will last longer than Meguires. Meguires doesn't last more than 2 to 3 months where I live.
