Hello again everyone.

I just received another email letting me know that the Titan and Armada Factory Style DVD systems are now available.

These units are made by Myron & Davis and have got to be the easiest units to install that I have ever seen.

There are not a ton of them available, but we do have a few in stock. You can check them out at https://www375.ssldomain.com/etruckoutfitters/order.cfm?item=ans178st.

I have put together a pretty nice package deal for everyone in Clubtitan so let me know if you have any questions or want to order one for your truck.

Thanks again,
Devin & Truckoutfitters

I remember what I did now. On the order form, there is a link that takes you to the Myron & Davis site with a picture and description of the unit.

You may have to cut and paste the link, because I think I was in a small hurry to get it up.

Also, I have created a page just for ClubTitan at www.etruckoutfitters.com/titan_specials.cfm

There are some other accessories on there at clubtitan only deals.

Enjoy,

I'm interested in cost on the DVD player too. So how much are we talking here?

I guess another oops on my part. The price is on that page pretty small under the description. The package I made up includes the custom screen, a DVD-CD-MP3 compatible 3/4 sized player, a wireless FM modulator and 2 wireless headphones.

The price for the package is 629.95 shipped.

The system is fairly simple to install and something the weekend warrior mechanic should be able to install.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

So is there a special item code we need to use for this deal because I still can't find it on the websites provided. Also, where can I find more information on the DVD player? What color does it come in? What is your return policy if you have one? I can access one link but it doesn't provide me with the other information you give or the price. I called Myron and davis and they said it would be 699.99 for the monitor only.

I am having trouble finding it too. Maybe the page isn't quite finished.

Try this link:
https://www375.ssldomain.com/etruckoutfitters/order.cfm?item=ans178st

For some reason a period was put on the end of the link above and it does not work correctly. Devin sent me the correct one.

Wow, that a great deal for all that stuff. However, I would still like to see more info about the DVD player. What does it look like, were does it install, etc. :) Also, will this work for the King Cabs or is it just a Crew Cab thing?

I know this sounds like something that is a little too good to be true, but it is.

Myron & Davis make some of the best car audio and video around and their prices reflect that. However, I was able to work out a deal and drastically cut the price just for your site.

The link to the special order page is
https://www375.ssldomain.com/etruckoutfitters/order.cfm?item=ans178st

The link for the screen is
http://www.myronanddavis.com/products_detail.asp?ID=106&LineID=12

The link for the player is
http://www.myronanddavis.com/products_detail.asp?ID=112&LineID=4

The link for the headphones is
http://www.myronanddavis.com/products_detail.asp?ID=60&LineID=7

The link for the FM Modulator is
http://www.myronanddavis.com/products_detail.asp?ID=54&LineID=7

The screen fits into the factory overhead compartment and needs to be wired to the player. You can mount the player and modulator wherever you like, we usually go with the consol or glovebox or even under the seat.

It is a very simple install and very little wiring. The screen unit has 1 cable that goes to the player, the fm modulator uses rca connectors to the player and both the modulator and player need a power and ground.

Hopefully these links will help with any questions that you may have but if not, just let me know at devins@etruckoutfitters.com or use the private message on this site.

Thanks again and I hope I helped...

I have this system installed in my titan. It was installed by a third party from the dealer as part of the purchase price. I looks and sounds great. The headphones, remotes, etc. All work very well. I recommend at this time. I will let everyone know if any problems occur.

To answer another of question. The DVD player itself installs vertical inside the center console of my CC LE. I am not sure if you have a bench seat.

Can you post some pics of your DVD player installed? I had the factory one in my previous Titan but really want to see what this aftermarket one looks like before I get too worked up about it.

Thanks in advance,

Dale

It don't seem to me the factory overhead compartment is allowd to open enough. Does the screen compensate for this or is the stop changed?

I can't really decide what I want to do. I would like to have a larger screen then the 7.8" but I'm not sure where I would put it because I have the overhead console with the radio controls in it. Anyone got any ideas??

Here are the pics of this DVD. The one of the actual DVD unit in the console. Two headphone's and the remotes for TV and DVD units in my cupholder came with my unit. Any questions just ask.

That install looks perfect.

If you're looking for a job in the Pittsburgh area?

Just joking but it does look great.

That is where we put the player and we've never had a problem.

Myron and Davis has a 9 inch now available. It is the same setup just a bigger screen. It is not on their website, but it is in their catalog. I just recieved it at work the other day. JSI ANS190 msrp $750 if i remember correctly.

That answers my question then, this will not work for the King Cab's. The KC models don't have that rear housing with the lights in it. Oh well. :(

Fedex just dropped off all the equipment. Having it installed on Thursday morning...can't wait! Called the Nissan dealership to see who they use to do the installs and made an appointment. Same price as all the other installers, plus they have done many of these.

I had this exact unit installed by my Dealer (or Third party that is ...) and I was charged $1,500... so, $629 is an awesome price. The unit is awesome and works great... The only problem I had was a bad FM modulator that needed to be replaced...

npep

Too bad, I now am the proud owner of a FM modulator that I am not sure what I will do with. I am having the installer tap into the back of the radio head unit.

TheGoose
03-29-2005, 03:33 PM
I will probably end up doing that as well... the installer did not know how to tap it into the radio so, he used the the FM modulator... my recommendation is to coneect directly to the stereo if you can... FM modulators can be finicky at times... plus you need to install a toggle swith somewhere in the truck.

Anyone have a DVD screen installed in the over head compart. of a King Cab? There is plenty of room. However they don't open as far as you would need to view a screen. Can you change the stop? I agree that is a killer price. But if I'm going to tear my truck apart trying to install it...I have to KNOW it will fit first.

This is kinda the route I was thinking about going as well, Rossi!

The package that I put together for you guys included the wireless FM modulator that can be hooked up to only have power when the unit is on. This makes the install a ton easier and cleaner. All you have to do is pick one of the four stations and set it.

D O N E.

I think that the screen comes with a hard-wired one, but we generally use the wireless one.

Let me know how it turns out.

please help!

so even if the wiring instructions are on an armada would it be the same for the titan. what i also want to know is how to turn the dvd mode on the rf radio from stearing wheel and the rear wireless overhead system.

im taking my titan to mobile one tomorrow and i want to be sure this could be done because i don't want to deal with the whole fm mod nor do i want to waste money on that crap.

is that harness in all the 2004 titan models? is it that easy to tap into the factory harness to get somewhat the original factory setup?

oh and one last question can you guys help out and give me a better understanding on this ("There are two wires (what color?) on the harness (where?) called FES enable and Audio on. You will cut those wires and splice them together (does spice mean, crimp them together?). This tells the headunit your DVD player is on and lets the steering wheel, headunit and rear controls select DVD").

please respond asap!
