Earlier today when I got on, I happened to look at my post count and it was 6066. Well since I don't like 3 6's, I posted a couple of more times pretty quickly. When I signed off, it was at 6070. Now normally I do not look at my post count for a while (I know hard to believe but it is true, ask Kurk). Anyway, on to my question. When I got on tonight, I was back at 6066. Which kind of freaked me out. What happened to the other 4 posts? Were there threads deleted or something or where some of mine deleted?

That is because I have posted in a couple of more threads. It just freaked me out because when I signed on, it was at that 6066 number again.
The double posts don't count as posts or I would probably have 10,000 by now. LOL I always think of something else to say and then post again or hit edit. But that does not up the count. Which I am really glad about because there were a few a little while back that were posting 2, 3 and 4 times in a row and completing sentences while doing it. That was quite annoying.
Wait a second, you may be on to something. If I post again, it may count up, but then go away once it merges. I wonder if this is the case? I will try it.

But that is not what my goal or anything is. I just like to get on here and talk. I know that Kurk and I joke about it a lot, but it really does not matter to me. However, I do remember when Rossi was in the hunt for top poster and how he was kidding our befallen about it.
All I wanted to know is why my post count went down.

Maybe a "cached" version of a page loaded off the site or internally from your computer and had the old couint. Don't make sense, but neither does anything else!
