(HMP) http://www.houstonmotorsportspark.com/
TEXASGIANT 11-03-2006, 12:08 AM Oh I see how it is just 'cuz you are the first one to have the UpRev you want to "stomp" everyone else. (prolly could have b4 the uprev) but you just wait I'm so there after I get remapped. Thanks for the offer of some good mentoring (been years since I have been to the track with any intentions). I will have to wait just a little longer, have a full dance card for a while.
TexasNismo 11-03-2006, 09:38 PM OMG this is the first weekend in 3 weeks i have not been at HRP and youre going. Well its friday night and 9:00 now and 2 hrs till lanes shut down so ill go sunday if youre up to it
Boxerbay 11-03-2006, 10:15 PM lol - git er done Texas!
vshortt 11-03-2006, 10:20 PM Hey RB's. This weekend is a wash for me but next time you go to the Sealy track, let me know. It's right around the corner from me.
Jaho1979 11-03-2006, 10:30 PM I vote Sealy too, since I am on the west side. I'm busy the next two weekends, but Saturday the 18th or Sunday the 19th of November works for me.
RBsTitan 11-04-2006, 11:24 AM I went Friday Nov 3rd...ran 13.69. 80shot, No tailgate, stock 18's, 1/4 fuel. Got noticed but wishing to go faster.
I actually put on 17's 275/60 and did worse 14.10 80shot and 14.79 NA. 60ft 2.06 and 2.11
So now I'm looking for 20" wheels. ANyone know where to get some cheap?
Rossi 11-04-2006, 11:30 AM keep the 17's and go light lower profile RB. Odd your times suffered....and I just can't imagine them getting better with 20's. My truck was toast with 22's on it. It was runing 15.8's.
So you officially have the fastest posted time for a Titan!!i You you tried to spray one of the modified fuel maps just to see once what it would do?

I've tried teh 17's twice now and they just did'nt do it for me. Pnce in heat and once cold so I'll sellem or trade me. 17 Nissan Titan OF wheels with 275/60/17 Goodyear HT rubber.
Rossi 11-04-2006, 11:57 AM what is the weight of them compared to your LE wheels/tires? How about the over height difference between the two?
RBsTitan 11-04-2006, 12:06 PM what is the weight of them compared to your LE wheels/tires? How about the over height difference between the two?
apprx 20-30lbs for the combo difference. Appx 1 inch from 285/60/18 vs 275/60/17. I may just try the stock GY I have one spare just need to borrow another. Stockers are 1 larger than my 285/60/18.
Rossi 11-04-2006, 12:09 PM The 17's are that much lighter? And an inch shorter...but give you slower times. That's just crazy. I don't see how that's even possible. But the times don't lie.
I wonder how that's happening......
Boxerbay 11-04-2006, 12:25 PM the truck has enough torque to push the bigger tire - bigger tire has a longer circumference which allows you to travel further with each rotation of the tire. the trick is finding a bigger wheel/tire that weighs less or at least not much more than the stockers.
Rossi 11-04-2006, 12:32 PM My 22's were about 35 lbs heavier then my stockers and they kicked the crap out of my truck.
I was thinking of going a lower profile and maybe slightly widder when I wear out my stockers...I may have to think a little about that one.
RBsTitan 11-04-2006, 01:17 PM remember I have a 2.94 tranny TCM even though I have a BT gear set. That could be the issue at hand. Try the shorties they may work.
TexasNismo 11-04-2006, 08:02 PM RB i have 2 -- 265-70-18 dueler at/revo i just took of the truck, only 2 cause i burned up the other 2. I know thats not the size you want but if wanted for testing purposes i would donate them to you. Dont know if they would stick well enough on your truck but they never slipped on mine if a good burnout done. Either way if you want them pm me and tell you what shop i work at or i can meet you at the track one weekend.

Oh yeah baby that works for me! Thanks. PM sending now.
RBsTitan 11-08-2006, 09:52 AM Anyone interested in that weekend? Nov. 17th-19th
I'm hoping Toomany has his tune by then and I'm going to try to get marksalive in from LA.
Going deer hunting this weekend so I'm gonna miss the meet in H-town.
vshortt 11-08-2006, 10:51 AM What track? Naturally I pick Sealy over HRP. Let me know.
Jaho1979 11-08-2006, 10:55 AM I can probably make it RB, and I prefer Sealy as well.
TexasNismo 11-08-2006, 11:18 AM I can make it. Hopefully Tuned by then. Prefer HRP but "Have Truck- Will Travel". Never been to Seally track.
RBsTitan 11-08-2006, 12:36 PM well marksalive is out...he's going ....HuuuuunnNNTTTTting that weekend...shame on him as that's what I'm doing this weekend.
Toomany may meet us there he's supossed to be tuning next week....I just offered to buy his way in and dinner since he was complaining about fundage. I told him it would be a rental fee for me using his KDW2 tires.
I'm leaning towards Sealy just because the guy out there running the track tree is a KC 4x4 owner....KC Titan that is! Plus it was far less crowded...maybe it was just not busy but I'm willing to go try it again.
Toomnymods 11-08-2006, 07:42 PM i'll let you use the tires for 2 runs, but i wanna run on them too and since this will be the first weekend at the track with the ecu in check i'd like to atleast make 2 back to back motor passes and ATLEAST 3 n20 passes just so i can get a good basis of what my truck will be capable of.. hate to ask this but would anyone be willing to let me sleep on thier couch, after driving all day to austin/racing till 11pm i dont think i could drive nother 150 miles to port arthur..
TexasNismo 11-11-2006, 10:22 PM Im definately in. We got a set date and track, Fri or sunday, Baytown or sealy? Either way im in, just need to plan around wich day.
Toomnymods 11-11-2006, 10:44 PM it's looking like i'm gonna have to go to hrp if i do go, being that my tune date is for thursday 16th in austin with uprev.. then drive down to port arthur that night then the following day 17th i'd go to hrp since its like 80 miles closer for me.. i'll be extremely broke so driving extra 150 miles is definatly not a option.. i'll try to get the camera again for some more videos.. even though it sucks, hehe maybe someone elese will bring a decent one..
i'm still going to have to find a way to re-fill up my nitrous bottle.. maybe i'll go donate some blood or plasma, haha
RBsTitan 11-28-2006, 04:02 PM Ok who's up for a Friday night track run at Sealy? Baring weather ofcourse....

Toomnymods 12-01-2006, 09:31 AM track might not be open if it's too cold supposed to be like 30F all day today i'd call before going that far..
RBsTitan 12-01-2006, 09:58 AM Yeah that goes for both tracks...HRP and Sealy. Going to be Sunny all day so that helps. Truck is running good today.
Toomnymods 12-01-2006, 11:47 AM me, kye, matt, and nother hemi guy all going to hrp on sunday why dont u just come with us :)
TexasNismo 12-01-2006, 11:58 PM We were at HRP tonight, 41-44 degrees. They were open and running. Not many ppl out though. You could run youre truck back to back in 10 mins or less if you wanted. Should be open and running sunday no problem.
Toomnymods 12-02-2006, 12:12 AM hey, how'd u do? randy decided to go with us sunday.. he is getting his truck tuned right now, hehe told me he just got on the dyno at 10pm..
TexasNismo 12-02-2006, 12:31 AM Hey randy dont keep them up too late. They might be weary when tuning me tomorrow morning. LOL. Will be busy tomorrow chris. Working all day and trying to sneak away from the shop for a few hours to get tuned. Will post a bit tomorrow night but will talk to you sunday at the track. Look forward to a few more titans running on sunday. Hope it all turns out good.
