front was no problem except for making a mess when the piece of tubing i had in the fill hole came out and i didn't know it getting gear oil all over the floor. Now to the rear, took out the fill plug, then the drain plug and nothing came out. Now i have some concern so i stuck my finger in the drain plug hole and sure enough there was a layer of gunk plugging the hole. No big pieces of metal just this nasty thick slimy dark gray gunk. I'm glad i went ahead and changed the fluids(at 10,000 miles). For one both diffs wear low and two the rear fluid was nasty. I'm still trying to figure out what the gunk is. One question do the 06's only have one rear diff breather which is on the right side axle housing?

There is only one vent. I think Nissan adds Molybdenum Disulfide to the rear lube to aid in the break in of the diff. That's why you see the gray gunk that is very slippery.
