Anyone have any websites or threads that can help me find the airbag kits?

I think it was titanhauler that did some research on this several months ago. Check with him and see what happened with this idea.

Are You Talking about the levelers?

My brother put a set on his Dakota and they work like a dream.

He ran separate lines for each side and they work really nice.

I'll be towing enough this season and may get me a set if needed.

Firestone is due to re-release a kit any day now. To the best of my research it is the best kit out there because the bags are double convoluted and the kit is completely bolt on. They have applications for both 2 and 4 wheel drive. See this link and locate Titan in Applications list.

AirLift also makes a kit for 4x4's only but it requires you to drill your frame and includes single convoluted bags.

Both are roughly the same price. I have had my Firestone Kit on order for almost 3 months now from Summit and I believe the cost is $211.

Firestone Kit will offer 3500lbs of load leveling capacity while the AirLift Kit offers 2000lbs.

Good luck!

That's the AirLift Kit for the 4X4. It's been available for a while now I just don't like the fact you have to drill the frame and the bags are only single convoluted. I like the Firestone Ride-Rite Kit because it is completely bolt on and the bags are heavy duty. Also, notice how the Airlift Kit places the bag in front of the axle? The Firestone Kit will go directly between the frame and axle. Here are the instructions for both 4X2 and 4X4 respectively from Firestone.

The only difference between the two is the drop on the top bracket. This kit was apparently released in October or so of last year but had a flaw they realized and recalled all the unsold kits for a redesign. They set the re-release date for 03/31/05 but I have to call to make sure that date is still valid. Summit has the ship date for my kit as 04/15/05. We'll see . . .

Did you ordering just the rear kit or the full kit. front and rear with compressor, tank, etc.?

Well to my knowledge there is only a rear kit offered right now. Since it will be just a load leveling kit for me I don't see a need for an onboard compressor or tank.

Def go with the heavy duty bladders. I had the air lift ones on my Tundra for hauling my 4 wheel pop-up camper and it kept blowing out the bladders. Sounds like the Firestone ones are made much better.
