HRTKD 03-27-2007, 02:15 PM Is the price on the web site the same price extended to CT members? Having never done this group-buy thing I'm not sure how it works.
Jim
One other question: Are there any dyno results for the TBS? I found results on the airaid web site for the intakes, but not the TBS.
Jim

If you send him a Private Message (PM), he'll send you the price.
As for the dyno, I believe most of the benefit from the TBS comes down low, and since you won't see below 3,000 rpms on a Titan dyno, it probably won't show much power gain, if at all.
I will say, I added one to my previous Titan and saw an improvement in my MPG.
R1Titan 03-27-2007, 02:57 PM PM me with the price also. I just ordered the monster banks.

Amerinamese 03-27-2007, 05:55 PM I currently have a volant intake on the truck. if i were to get the tbs, would i need to do any modifications to the intake tube?
JasonB 03-27-2007, 06:01 PM I currently have a volant intake on the truck. if i were to get the tbs, would i need to do any modifications to the intake tube?
No modifications necessary. This will work with every intake we sell, volant, injen, AEM, K&N, etc. etc... :)

Also, be sure to check the website for these intakes if you need even more power.

Actually, on the Volant..you'll have to cut about 1-1.5" off of the Volant intake tube. Otherwise it won't fit because the radiator will be in the way. It's real easy though..Take about 5 minutes with a sawzall.
Edit: You'll also have to cut out the metal screen on the factory gasket.
Rossi 03-29-2007, 10:15 PM I agree...with my Injen CAI...I had to trim the tube for my Helix TB spacer. But it's really easy.
FireFighter5 03-29-2007, 10:46 PM sent you a PM jason :D

Dubbeditup 10-11-2007, 11:57 AM Just curious, I gotta Airaid on the way and I have an S&B. Anyone know if there will be trimming needed?
JasonB 10-11-2007, 01:04 PM Just curious, I gotta Airaid on the way and I have an S&B. Anyone know if there will be trimming needed?
You should be fine. I've sold tons of spacers to people with the S&B that we sell.
gksmith 02-15-2008, 12:22 PM Actually, on the Volant..you'll have to cut about 1-1.5" off of the Volant intake tube. Otherwise it won't fit because the radiator will be in the way. It's real easy though..Take about 5 minutes with a sawzall.

Ok, I realize this post is almost a year old, but it's still good. Is the removal of the metal screen required or recommended for a TBS?
I have no performance mods yet and I'm interesting in anything that will help towing and get me better gas mileage in geneneral (yeah, I know this is subjective too).
JasonB 02-15-2008, 01:20 PM No, you don't need to. The throttle body spacer alone will give a nice boost in gas mileage and more power.
gksmith 02-16-2008, 10:02 AM The generation is the Volant? The Website says Gen 1. I'm pretty sure I've read people have Gen 3. What's the difference and how can I tell one from another?
JasonB 02-16-2008, 01:09 PM Gen 3, we also have on the site, and that's the dry filter model. There have been fitment issues with this one, so it's not fully ready yet.
For the best bang for the buck, I like the S&B intake the best.

gksmith 02-18-2008, 12:42 PM Hmm, would the S&B + Motorvator be a good combination?
JasonB 02-18-2008, 01:00 PM Hmm, would the S&B + Motorvator be a good combination?
Yep. That's actually a great combo.
