When I'm at a complete stop and then start going, 1st gears sounds alot different than 2-OD. It sounds alot louder and and....well different. Any worries?

from what you describing, sound familiar. when i'm stopped and give it gas, first gears does sound loud. more like the sounds of the fans kickin in. after that, 2nd gear and up all i hear is my exhaust and engine. i'm pretty sure it's normal. how many miles do you have on yours?
oh yeah, one question peace. when your fully stopped and give it gas do you have a very slight catching feel from the rear?

Depends on what you mean by louder. Is it an exhaust sound? Gear whine? Other?

That sounds like axle wrap. Did you put on helper springs?? If not, they are $30 at checker, autozone, etc.

When starting from 1st as well I sometimes notice a "catch"/"chunk" kind of feeling. Can sort of feel it under my left foot for some reason. Dosn't always happen though. Little over 1200 mi on it so far.

Haven't noticed a clunk...
The sound is like gear whine. Is this normal? Should I take it to the shop...i'm just paranoid.
Hey Yeti, I'll be heading down to TAFB in a week or two...maybe the 22-24 to visit family. Maybe a meet up or sumfin?

I'd take it in to the dealer. It costs you nothing but a little of your time.
