: Steering wheels radio controls?

Does anyone know if it is possible to install the steering wheel radio controls if my Titan does not have them already?

I have a SE and I understand that some models of Titan already include the controls but I would like to add some to my SE if possible.

Thanks!

Hi,
The two plastic inserts that contain the controls (radio/cruise) are actually the same piece! One unit that spans under the airbag. I am having problems with mine at the moment, so I know this much; there is a single modular plug that connects these switches to the wiring harness. I interpret this fact to mean that if you're not wired for the radio controls already, you can probably forget about it.
Does the non-R/F cd changer head unit come with the steering wheel controls I wonder?

We have a 2005 Titan SE and we have the 6 disc CD changer but with NO steering wheel controls.

I'd like to install steering wheels controls if possible.

Please let me know, thanks!

Do you have the popular package on your 05?? Bucket seats, etc. etc.

If memory serves me correct the steering wheel radio controls are part of the popular package.

JasonYeah me too.

Didn't you have an Altima? I think I remember you from Altimas.net.

I'm so used to these on my Altima that I reach for them constantly on the Titan but they're not there. :(

There are about 2 or 3 connections on the back of the factory radio that I didn't need when I installed another radio. One of those connections might be for the steering wheel radio controls. I don't have one.
Try ordering a steering bezel unit with the radio controls and a harness, I don't know which, but if it's possible to convert manual mirrors to power, it's probably possible to add the steering wheel controls.
