After looking at the options for mounting my electric brake controller, I had to rule out the under dash muonting because it was just in the way of my long legs and big feet. I looked behind the lower dash cover and decided there was room behind the pedal adjust switch (barely) well, after some cutting and sanding with a dremel, and alot of test fitting, this is what I came up with. I used the supplied clamshell mount and ended up epoxying it into the hole with some fiberglass tape for extra strength. It didn't turn out quite as nice as I would have liked due to the angle it came thru the dash ( it had to be angled up and to the right to sit right) but, all in all, it's not too bad. and the location is perfect. The unit unclips and slides out of the mount easily.

Lol, it always looks worse to the one who put it in for some reason. You might could get some small black trim to cover up the rough edges if you were really worried about it. Looks nice to me though, good job!

Yeah, I've been looking for some kind of trim or rubber gasket since before I started cutting. Still looking

Try some door moulding from the auto parts store, They make it in black. I just put some on my doors in black, because of my son chipping the paint off the edge of the door. It comes in black, chrome and gold to suit your taste, but it is small has adhesive in it and is only 1.99 for two peices 27" long.

Other than that it look great. Neccesity is the mother of all invention they say.
