I'm ok mechanically but auto trans are something I never messed with. Can anyone tell me what controls the kick down shift point on these things? Is there a way to prevent the tranny from kicking down at full throttle? (such as, for a dyno run) Maybe a way to fool the trans into thinking you're not at full throttle, or maybe into thinking you're at a higher rpm at first. Obviously I wouldn't want to do anything that would effect engine performance while doing this.

The TCM does (computer in the transmission). Until there is a programmer for it, I think we are stuck with those downshift points.
