I have an 05 LE without the Nav system and was wondering if anyone knows who makes it and if it will just install with the existing wiring system?

A couple of people have asked about this, but I don't think anyone really knows for sure. Somebody posted on another site that it would be about $2200 to add it. Have you asked your dealer? I plan on adding some kind of nav unit later and there are quite a few other folks thinking about it too. Good luck and let us know if you find anything out. 8)

Pioneer, Kenwood, and Eclipse all make after market options that will double as DVD players. They range from $2000-2800. I would check with a local shop that you trust to do good work and see what they stock.

As far as the stock system, I'm sure Nissan will rape you if you bought it as an add on. My local dealer doesn't offer it as an add on. Usually you can get a dealer to anything for $ but they won't.

can you get the factory navigation system installed if you wanted it from the dealer? i have the se and would of loved to have the navigation. i don't like the aftermarket gps system. i like the factory. won't the dealer add it? i'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.

Mud,
If I were you, I would definatly take a look at a AVIC-N1 by Pioneer or an Eclipse set up. You can get Navigation, DVD, CD, MP3 Sat. Radio ready and a few other things below the cost of the factory set up if they would even do that. Just my .02! :D

see the thing is, i don't want to upgrade the system to an aftermaket. i really like the way the cosmetics of the stereo as it is. the only way i'll get navigation is if i was able to get it through the dealer or if i would have the get a whole new truck and trade this one in.

I got a Garmin Street Pilot - $700.
Use it in the Titan, another car, easy to use. Awesome.

True, the StreetPilot III has been relplaced by a # 2601 or #2610 (somewhere in there) that is faster, has more memory and can be hooked up to obtain mileage input from the truck. Check the Garmin site for complete info.

Right now, I'm using the StreetPilot III and it serves me well.

I have the Magellen Road Mate 300. I just saw an add where they are down to 600.00 It works very well. I have heard that the factory Nav is not touch screen don't know if that is true or not. Magellen also make the RM 700 which as a little better screen. Like the Garmin it can be put into any vehicle and used.

only things ive ever heard of is aftermarket or pay much more $$$ for the dealer to install, if it is 5000 to get it installed you might actually be able to trade your truck in and just pay the difference, it could come out to be cheaper if you find a deal. as for aftermarket, if you get a good shop to do the work they can probably hook it up so that you keep the cosmetics the same or have a slight alteration. I know the shop i go to only deals with mb quart, high class fosgate and elcipse products and those eclipse units are quite impressive. remember if you can dream it you can do it... lol
