: Nissan left me!
turbotsi92 01-25-2007, 01:19 PM I bought my Titan the end of last January from University Motors in Morgantown, WV. It is about an hour from my house, but the closest dealership. University sells all kinds of cars, Mitsu, GMC, Nissan, Toyata, Mercedes, etc. Well, I found out a few months ago that the guy that owns it decieded he don't want to sell Nissan anymore, so now I have to drive over 1 1/2 hours to get to one. Just wanted to let everyone know not cool!
buzzkillwill 01-25-2007, 01:20 PM Man, that stinks...
Hopefully, you won't be going to the dealer too much, though...
baggettp 01-25-2007, 02:16 PM Bummer man.
Jason24 01-26-2007, 10:40 AM That sucks how you don't have any problems.
ryant831 01-26-2007, 11:01 AM Better start learning how to turn a wrench.
steves 01-26-2007, 01:29 PM Are you sure they gave up on servicing them?
The Pontiac dealer I bought my Grand Prix from used to sell Nissans, and lost their franchise... but they still serviced cars purchased from them. Might be worth giving the SM a call.
shortimer52 01-26-2007, 01:56 PM Dont feel bad, all the dealers near me are a hour and a half trip.
skeet 01-26-2007, 02:32 PM Same here.

What town is the dealership in?

It will depend on if he chose not to reneg on his contract and for what reasons. If Nissan cancelled him, then he will get a certain amount of time that he can perform warranty work and then it will be over.
If they chose to leave Nissan then he will not be able to do anything for them. Well he could but would not be reimbursed labor or parts.
VOLTRON 01-26-2007, 10:18 PM sometimes u r better off taking it somewhere else anyways. the dealer near me is about 45minutes away, and they $uck.
turbotsi92 02-27-2007, 11:19 AM They left Nissan because they said Nissan promised them things if they sold so many vehicles, and they said they did sell the compromised amount, and Nissan did nothing for them, so they are not doing anything, warranty work included. Sucks!
gtcompscientist 02-27-2007, 11:26 AM That sounds like Nissan dropped the ball, but it still sounds like you are going to be stuck driving the extra miles!

I can assure you that is not the case. Per the dealership agreement that you take on, if you stay within what is asked of you, Nissan cannot legally pullout.
But to be put under the microscope like that means that they were a poor dealer. We personally went through this with Nissan but were on the receiving end of a territory. There was a dealer that was performing horribly in a territory, their marketshare proved it. They were running half of the national average yet it still took over 3 years for us to legally obtain the area. I am not saying that they did not tell you that, but I am saying that they are not telling the truth.
turbotsi92 02-28-2007, 07:51 AM Well, it is just rumors I heard from the salesmen that still worked there. I can't imagine that either. Your statement seems more likely to have happened.
