I put a 6.5 Boston Acoustics Component Set in the Front doors and the tweeter holes on the dash. I put 2 way Boston Acoustics 6.5 in the rear doors. I have a pro rock box under the seat with two 12 inch Aluminum Phoenix Gold Subs. The Door Speakers are powered by a 800 watt phoenix gold amp while the subs are powered by a 1000 watt phoenix gold speaker. I have the amps on a 1.2 Farad Capacitor but it still dims my lights. The system pounds so hard that it will make you sick. Try to post some pics when I can

Man I've only got one amp and at an idel I can dim the lights. I was going to originally place two amps in my truck but because of power decided not to. I tried a 600 Watt RF amp but it kept going into protection for some reason....wasn't sure. Then said what the hell and we tried a Sony Explod amp and it worked great. Sounds awesome with only one P2 Punch 10" bass speaker. The only thing is now I'm fighting a whine from the alternator....it's not the Ground....I tried a 20 amp noise reducer..didn't work.
After some talk my RCA cables are running next to my power line through the firewall. So I'm going to move the RCA cables away from it and see if that stops it. If not then i'll continue my quest.

It sounds like while you are at it Rossi you need to buy a capacitor like I did so you do not burn up your alternator. Thats what I did before I got my capacitor. It just helps out so when the amps draw a lot of current the capacitor lets out some power to help cancel out the light dimming.

I'll keep that in mind...and if I ruin the alternator before hand I'll pull the whole system out before I take it in to get it fixed!!!
