I've got a 10" sub and box ready to get installed under the rear seat, I've also got an amp ready to wire up. I have the midline system(6 disk changer 8 speaker setup, no amp) what is the best way to wire in this amp, I'm completely comfortable tearing the truck apart and splicing into wires if necessary, just not sure the best way to tie 1 extra speaker(sub) into the system.
Any suggestions?

u probably need a line output converter to run an RCA to the amp and then run a remote wire to the back of the cd player

He's right, you'll need a line out for the RCA input, and to wire the remote wire to anything that draws power when the truck is on. The head unit is the best option. Then just put the amp where you want it and run the rest of the wires.

Got the line outs and all the wiring done for the sub, now I just need to decide if I want to go ahead and get another amp and some new speakers. I thought about a new head unit, but I actually like the factory one, and I don't like most of the aftermarket ones out there, I don't need stupid little dolphin things hopping around with my music, and the factory one looks like it belongs there, while aftermarket ones look out of place in my opinion. I think I'll just run an amp and replace all the speaker and see how I like it.

be real carful when ur removing the radio that you DO NOT turn the truck on when the airbag sensor is disconnected, i did this and my airbag light was flashing and i called the dealership and it isnt under warranty and would cost an hours worth of labor. luckily tho kytitan had a method for rearming it. but better to be safe than sorry. i hooked up all my stuff and i havent got my 2 10s yet but i hooked up a 12 i had and it sounds good, only problem i have is the overhead light rattles with the roof of the truck.

Heh, I've already been through the airbag light ordeal a couple of times. I normally do all my wiring hot out of habit so I never disconnect the battery. The first time my airbag light started flashing was a little frustrating, but it's easy enough to reset so I don't worry about it now.
