My driver seqat just started to creak everytime weight shifts, i.e. in a turn. Does anyone have this problem and had it taken care of... becoming very annoying!

My passenger side seat does and I have yet to fix it. Adjmcolon said that it's relatively easy to fix - you need a 90 degree phillips head screwdriver to take off the upper cover (the screw is on the inner side of the cover - aka against the backside of the seat, thus the need for the screwdriver).

I tried just spraying some silicone spray up there and it didn't do a thing, but that was with the cover on. I've been keeping my eyes peeled for one of the 90 degree phillips head screwdrivers, but haven't searched hard enough to find one. Also, I think grease may work better than silicone spray.

Anyone else have this issue and tried this fix?

You can mimic the sound by pushing on the backside of the seat in a side to side fashion. A pic is worth a 1000 words, but hopefully you get the idea.

When you say upper cover... do you mean the actual seat you sit on?

Yeah ... let's see if I can explain this ...

L if that is the seat and you're looking at it from the side, there are a couple covers at the joint (the corner of the L). The upper/top cover is the one I'm referring to. If I can find a picture, I'll post it.

I have it occasionally. Turn up the radio, it goes away.

I had this same problem with the passenger seat. I had heard of other guys having the dealer fix it so I decided to let them have at it. In the process they broke the cover, however this was one of the parts they had to order so no big deal. Once all of the parts came in they got it all fixed up, no charge. I think that there has been a lot of people with this issue, apparently some of the bolts were tightened too much at the factory?? Who knows.

I had mine in the dealership for this problem. They ended up replacing the whole seat frame due to a crack, probably from bolts being over tightened. Now its very quiet.
