The only thing my service mgr says is "it's common so we keep plenty in stock". I was happy they had them in stock but not to happen to hear its common. I hope I do not have to make a return visit for the same thing.

I have never seen a repair come back. There is no recall because it doesn't happen to alot. I know it seems it does, but with 10k members we still don't talk about it too much.

There are eight pages on axle seals over at TT. Including some with multiple failures. I had my right rear go and the bearing.

And there are probably 30 pages over here. I can only comment on what I have seen and being I am at a dealer. I haven't seen any multiple failures. SCR38 made a great point with the vents being clogged. If that is not checked it could cause another immediate failure. again 30 divided by 10000 is still a relitivly small number. Wouldn't you agree?

can someone post a picture where the vent is located? I remember there was a thread some one posted about running a hose with a filter at the end!!!

My buddy warned me of it so I'm just wondering. He's got the 04 while I have an 05 with 8400mi. I imagine if the 05's have the same problem, I probably won't experience it for a couple more thousand miles. But I'll keep an eye on it just in case.

Mine just started passenger side BT rear-end. Is this a 3/36 warranty claim? What does it cost to repair?

should be covered under 5/60k drivetrain.. both mine went out at 68K but luckily had bought an extended warranty (not from nissan though) my bill wouldve been 500 and some change but luckily I only had to pay 50..that was for the seals, bearings, fluid and labor.

Wow. I'll be taking mine in for warranty. Then when it goes out again I can just change to my 2.94 axle and wear those out. Then hopefully after that time period I can get a new Titan...LOL
