I've had my truck in for three warranty visits in the last 5 months. Lately I've been checking the TSB and recall info I've found from CT. Nissanhelp.com has a recall info on my truck related the the front driveshaft flange bolts and my VIN matches the applied VINs. When I mentioned it to the dealer about checking it they tell me every time my truck comes in the VIN is run against all Nissan recalls and TSB's and if it matches they fix up everything.
Any Nissan folks know how this works or is it part BS part true?
I don't figger on how my VIN matches a recall range yet they've never told me they did the work from that recall on the truck???

I am wondering the same thing. My truck also falls within that VIN range.

I'm going to run it by my pal that works as a Saab mech. He's worked in dealerships all his life. I know they'll tell you "well we ran your vin but it didn't match so no need to worry" but I'm not going to keep buyin' that unless they show me the lookup on their screen. I'll let you know anything else I learn or m,aybe someone that know Nissan will post.

In my belief, them TSB don't get perform if you don't as for it. It's hard enough sometime to get them to do it when ask.

On my next trip I'm just going to had the service write a bunch of printouts on the TSB's so I have solid docs on them. Then they have all day to think up excuses or do the work.

It is strictly up to the dealer. If they actually take the time to look up your VIN and perform work on it, that is great service. But you should also get paperwork showing that the work was done. If you want proof that it was done, call the 1-800 number in the front of your manual and ask them to look up the TSB's performed on your truck's VIN. They will be able to tell you.

A TSB is a Technical Service Bulletin. Normally they are sent to dealers about things they "should" do to a vehicle that is in for work.

I agree what is on recall and for what years?
