Meguiars
Mothers
Zaino

Good thing about the first 2 is that theyre fairly cheap and they do an amazing job. I use basically everything meguiars for my truck.

I suggest you go to our site sponsors website, http://www.topoftheline.com/. I got their "Trade Secret" canuba wax, and it is the best I have ever used. They offer the profesional detailers line of products that you can't get at the big box stores. Is a little more pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Meguiars 100%.....if you go to their online site, you can find info on both their consumer line as well as their professional line. The professional line will produce much better results and the prices are reasonable. PM me and I can give you more info, products to use to achieve the desired results, and where to buy online.

Detailers Pride products for cleaning. Poorboys EX-P Sealant and Collinite 845 Insulator Wax for protection. I haven't waxed it since Thanksgiving and it's still beading water!

I'm going to go the "german" route and try Menzerna and the Klasse twins since I have a bunch of this stuff from my Jetta days.

Heard Menzerna is pretty good.

I like the Mcguiars professional products in the tan bottle swirl remover>mirror glaze polish>yellow tech wax.

I also ordered this clay kit (http://magicgarage.biz/dnn/Default.aspx?tabid=70) today and an extra bar.

For the People using Meguiars, what products do you use?

I am looking at their Clay Bar kit, which will remove the wax and misc. stuff, so what products do you use next? A polish, glaze, and then wax? If so do you just use Meguiars 3 Step products?

Here is what I plan on doing....
- Wash with Deep Crystal car wash
- Smooth Surface Clay Bar Kit
- System Paint Cleaner (Step 1)
- Use Deep Crystal System Polish (Step 2)
- End with Deep Crystal System Carnuba Wax (Step 3)
- Dress the tires and exterior plastics...

I want the low down so I can be ready for when the weather break, so let me know if I skipped a step or product or if I am overboard....

I like the three step process myself, but rarely have enough time. I will probably go that route as soon as we get some decent weather. I dont have a garage and winter has not been kind to the truck. I have the majestic blue, and it takes a beating. I almost wish i would have gone with a grey or silver paint job. But it does look nice all shined up.

I bought some of that new turtle wax liquid ice I think it is called. I used the polish and the clay bar. They do not leave the white residue on black plastic parts either. If you get it on the plastic, it wipes clean. A big plus for me, cause I'm pretty sloppy with wax/polish. I've also used Meguiars in the past. Most of the time I use turtle wax products though.

Glad the Turtle Wax Ice stuff is good.

I bought some Turtle Wax Ice Car Wash and Liquid Polish yesterday.

Anybody know if the Synthetic Paste Wax is better than the Liquid Polish Wax?

I went down to schucks auto supply and grabbed me up some of the Meguiars. I used the mirror glaze polish first then came back with the # 26 yellow wax. Can you say very shiny :)

My truck is brand new so it was already looking good, but I knew that I needed to get somthing down on there fairly quik. It took about 3.5 hours by hand but it looks amazing.

Anyone have any suggestions for upkeep of a soft tonneau? Mine's not supposed to fade or anything, but I would like to keep it as black as I can! Secondly, what do you guys do to restore those plastic pieces? And also, we use Never-dull in the Navy like you wouldn't believe, so I do love the stuff, but once shiney, what do you guys to for your chrome? Thanks for the help.

I agree with Nonpoint, Zaino is the best stuff by far and really easy to apply and take off. Not the cheapest, a little goes a really long way though.

I can get 3 coats of Zaino polish with adhesion promoter out of 1.5 oz. each successive coat makes the truck look wetter & wetter.

Meguires, Turtle Wax or any other wax for that matter is CRAP. Zaino is OK but still not the best on BLACK paint. Professional products are always better and actually a lot cheaper. Paint should be done in at least 2 steps. Clean and then Seal. NO WAX. CarBrite makes the best Glass Cleaner and Upholstry Cleaner Period. Gem industrys makes the best Orbital and you have many options for high speed buffers. The most important factor is timing and of course don't forget lighting and a magnafying lense. My father owned a one man Detail Shop so I have been detailing since I was about 6 years old. I am very meticulous and have spent 20 hrs on an interior alone. Paint is a whole nother ball game. Pull the car under a street light at night. You will see things in your paint the sun or halogen lamps won't allow you to see. Those that want your carpet looking good use a soap with fabric brighteners. I buy and test products all the time. All the products on the bottom shelf I bought just to test. I am crazy like that.

Hey Guys,

What are you guys using to clean your glass on the Titan? For now I using Windex, but that crap does not work. It does nothing for water spots. Is there a good product out there for water spots and tint windows? Thanks

Are you talking about water spots on the inside or the outside. I really hope they are on the outside! I use glass polish to get rid of water spots and to smooth out the glass. On the inside I am currently using Stoner's Invisible Glass which I bought at Walmart. Invisible Glass has been recommended by a number of other CT members so I gave it a try. It works better than other stuff I have tried.

CarBrite Glass cleaner is the best. If you glass really needs some work use metal polish and a buffer.
