I did a search and could not find the answer to my question. My Titan did not come with a receiver hitch, so I bought an aftermarket one. I see now that I should have purchased the factory one and I would have got everything, but it is to late. So I am buying the wiring etc.. seperately. My question is, do I need both relays. I will not be using brakes on the trailer, so I thought I just needed relay 1, but the service manual leads me to believe that relay 2 controls the actual brake lights on the trailer. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I was in the same situation. You only need 1 relay for running/brake lights. The other is for trailer brakes. I picked up my "pigtail" to plug the trailer into at Advance Auto Parts. It's a GM/Delphi part and plugs right into the factory harness right off the frame. You'll just have to figure out where to mount it best for you. Mine's hidden and I ran an extension out under the license plate. Hope this helps.

Thank you, helps a bunch. I was hoping I would only have to buy the one relay. :D

You could do what I did. Salesman assured me that all I needed was a receiver and a pigtail off the frame for the lights to plug into. Bought a new boat and didn't have trailer lights to pull it home. Called 'em on it and they gave the relay to me for free.

You beat my price. I went to the dealer today and talked them down to $25. Should get it next week.
