Well my wife got a new/used car from a family member. This car hasn't been driven much but was parked outside next to some sprinklers for a month or 2 well maybe 3. So on the drivers side it has water spots all over the paint and the windows. I did wash the car twice and these didn't come off. It definently feels rough when you take a chami over it. For the glass, you can take your fingernail and scratch off the spots but that doesn't seem to work on the paint. Just looking for the easiest solution/product that I could do myself to get this removed. Thanks in advance..........

Clay bar the paint and pick up a bottle of CLR the next time you are at the grocery store. CLR should remove the mineral deposits on the glass.

If the clay bar doesn't work then you might need to hit the paint with a quality ROB polisher (along with a light cut pad/compound).

Wash the truck with Dawn, its pretty amazing what that stuff will take off as opposed to regular car wash soaps. If that does the trick on the water spots then run over it with a claybar to remove the rest of the contaminants. Be sure to get a good coat of wax on after this as the Dawn will remove all the wax. If this fails then a orbital buffer and cleaner polish will be required.

Use a good clay bar and wax the car after your finished.
