Hello all..Did anyone of you go to see the first American civillian space flight out of the Mojave desert in California? It was september 29th of 2004.
I was there and it was incredible!! The American Pride was at its all time high. There was pepole from all around the world there. It was like watching the first flight from the Wright Brothers.
The ship was called the S.S.1, space ship one. It was amazing at launch time as it was taxied down the runway the amount of cheers and clapping was deafening
We were told that the company that built ss1 was going to be offering space flights in the near future and that they were also going to be building more ships. There first one that will be able to take regular civillinas into space will be called Enterprise. Can you believe that!!!
I was glad that I was there to wintness history in the makeing.

I didn't atttend but saw the news reports and am pretty excited about their success. Thanks for posting the pics. We sent men to the moon back in 1969 and you'd think we would have made more progress by now - economics is a funny thing I guess. I'd certainly like the opportunity to see the earth from space at some point in my lifetime (as long as I don't end up in some time vortex and come back to a planet run by apes).

I don't want to step on any toes or start an international incident, but there is a ton of evidence that we never went to the moon. I'm not one of those "conspiracy theory" types, but I have seen some of the evidence and it is pretty impressive. Just thought I would put that out there.

I do think it’s neat that civilians will have the chance to fly in space now. I would love to give it a shot, but I’m not worried about coming back and having apes running things. Charles Heston is still alive. He’ll never let that happen!!!! LOL
